Nightshift Premium. A per hour nightshift premium is payable on applicable sites for all hours worked on night shift (a night shift is usually one which commences after 6pm). 5.2.6.4.1. Applicable Night Shift premiums will be set out in Appendix 2: hereto for the employee’s classification.

Nightshift Premium. Employees who work the night shift shall be entitled to a shift premium in the amount of fifteen cents (15¢) per hour during each shift beginning at 11:00 P.M. and ending at 7:00 A.M. Full-time employees may be allowed to reduce their work schedule to a minimum of eight (8) shifts in a two (2) week pay period. Such reductions shall be for three (3) month time frames, which can be renewed. When an employee working on such a reduced schedule leaves her position, the position will be posted without the shift reduction. Such reduced shifts shall be filled in accordance with Article 10.02 of the Collective Agreement. Approval will be based on the Employer’s ability to schedule. Benefits will be pro-rated if the reduction extends past three (3) months. The employee on the reduced schedule will not be able to pick up additional shifts during their reduction. The request to extend or end the reduction will be made in writing at least two (2) weeks prior to the end of the three (3) months or known end date. Upon return from a reduced work schedule, successive requests to reduce their work schedule from an employee may only be made following a three
Nightshift Premium. An employee shall be paid a night shift premium of $0.45 for all hours worked on nights where the majority of hours fall between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

  • Shift and Weekend Premium (a) Effective July 1, 2021, an employee shall be paid a shift premium of one dollar and five cents ($1.05) per hour for each hour worked between the hours of 1500 and 0700. Effective July 1, 2022, an employee shall be paid a weekend premium of one dollar and thirty cents ($1.30) per hour for each hour worked between 2300 hours Friday and 2300 hours Sunday, or such other forty-eight (48) hour period as the local parties may agree upon or as defined in the Collective Agreement. If an employee is receiving premium pay pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, the employee will not receive weekend premium under this provision. Effective July 1, 2023, an employee shall be paid a weekend premium of one dollar and thirty-five cents ($1.35) per hour for each hour worked between 2300 hours Friday and 2300 hours Sunday, or such other forty-eight (48) hour period as the local parties may agree upon or as defined in the Collective Agreement. If an employee is receiving premium pay pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, the employee will not receive weekend premium under this provision.
