Non-Holiday Staff. If a BPOA represented employee is directed by a Captain, or officer of higher rank, to work on a City observed holiday, the BPOA represented employee will receive overtime pay in accordance with Article II, Section F.
Non-Holiday Staff. If a unit member is directed by a Captain, or officer of higher rank, to work on a City observed holiday, the unit member will receive overtime pay in accordance with Article II, Section F. Unit members assigned to uniform patrol shall not earn any additional holiday pay above and beyond the Holiday In Lieu Pay described above. If an officer is on a scheduled day off, the officer will take the scheduled day off. If the officer is scheduled to work, the officer will report to work as scheduled.

  • Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day (December 25) Boxing Day (December 26) In addition to the above noted holidays, full-time employees will be eligible for two (2) floating holidays.   • Work on Holidays An employee who is required to work, or works with prior approval, any part of a holiday shall receive holiday compensatory time for up to eight (8) hours, on an hour for hour basis, for the actual non-overtime hours worked in addition to their regular rate of pay. An employee who works overtime on a holiday shall be compensated in accordance with all applicable pay and overtime provisions. An employee must use holiday compensatory time within one (1) year after having accrued that time.

  • Personal Holiday A. Each employee may select one personal holiday each calendar year in accordance with the following:

  • Paid Holiday Pay Payment for holidays will be made at an employee’s basic pay, except if an employee has been working in a higher paid position than her regular position for a majority of the sixty (60) working days preceding her holiday, in which case she shall receive the higher pay.

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union. In the event the job is down due to weather conditions, then Saturday may, at the option of the Employer be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate.

  • Monday morning (2) The employee should not work more than 16 hours without an 8 hour break.
