Holiday Differential and Holidays Worked and Not Worked. Each unit member will receive a Holiday Differential as compensation for the holidays specified in III.A.1 on a bi-weekly basis regardless of whether or not the unit member is scheduled to work on a City observed holiday as part of their regular schedule. The differential will be based on ten (10) City observed holidays per year at a rate of nine (9) hours per holiday at straight time divided by 26 pay periods. Unit members shall not earn any additional holiday pay above and beyond this differential. Unit members will be divided into two categories for purposes of City observed holidays and holiday work schedules: Holiday staff and Non- Holiday staff.

Holiday Differential and Holidays Worked and Not Worked. Each BPOA represented employee will receive a Holiday Differential as compensation for the holidays specified in III.A.1 on a bi-weekly basis regardless of whether or not the unit employee is scheduled to work on a City observed holiday as part of their regular schedule. The annual value of the differential will be equal to the value of ten (10) City observed holidays per year, at nine (9) hours per holiday, at one times the hourly rate defined in Article II, Section F.4.a.The annual value will be divided by, and paid in equal amounts over, 26 pay periods. BPOA represented employees shall not earn any additional holiday pay above and beyond this differential. BPOA represented employees will be divided into two categories for purposes of City observed holidays and holiday work schedules: Holiday staff and Non-Holiday staff.
Holiday Differential and Holidays Worked and Not Worked. Unit members working a 3/12 schedule, will work as scheduled, without any additional compensation, regardless of Holidays, legal or designated. For all other unit members a “Holiday” is observed on the weekday designated by the City.

  • Holiday Worked In addition to Subsection A above, employees will be compensated for the hours actually worked on a holiday at the overtime rate, in accordance with Article 17, Overtime.

  • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY 117. A holiday is calculated based on an eight (8) hour day. The following days are designated as holidays:

  • OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY 5.3.1 All hours worked by an employee in excess of eight (8) hours per shift and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week shall be paid for at the rate of one and one-half times the straight time rate. All hours worked by an employee in excess of ten (10) hours per shift and all hours worked on Sunday shall be paid at the rate of double the straight time rate.

  • Unworked Holidays Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs. An employee who is on the active payroll on the holiday and has worked both the last scheduled shift preceding the holiday and the first scheduled shift succeeding the holiday shall be eligible for pay for such unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if the employee(s) can furnish proof, satisfactory to the District that because of illness they were unable to work on either of such shifts, and the absence previous to such holiday, by reason of such illness, has not been longer than 30 regular workdays, and they received sick pay for the day(s) missed.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.

  • OVERTIME AND HOLIDAYS 5.1 An Employer may require employees to perform work in excess of their regularly assigned hours. All time worked by an employee before and after his regular shift on Monday to Friday inclusive, except as provided in Article 4 and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of double time. Double time shall continue for all hours worked until the employee has had eight (8) consecutive hours off or longer if mutually agreed to by the employer and the employee.

  • Vacations and Holidays The Executive will be entitled to three (3) weeks' paid vacation each calendar year in accordance with the vacation policies of the Employer in effect for its executive officers from time to time. The Executive will also be entitled to the paid holidays and other paid leave set forth in the Employer's policies. Vacation days during any calendar year that are not used by the Executive during such calendar year may be used in any subsequent calendar year; provided, however, that no more than six weeks' paid vacation may be accrued or carried forward.
