Non-Student Workdays. There shall be six non-student workdays designated on the calendar for family engagement (defined in Article VIII, Section 1.G), Individually- determined work (defined in Article VIII, Section 10.L), or System PD (defined in Article VIII, Section 3): 1. Two days immediately preceding the first student day of the school year. a. The first of these two days (the Monday immediately preceding the first student day) has two purposes: Five hours is for System PD and the remaining two hours will be available to employees for individual preparation and planning for instruction. b. The second of these two days (the Tuesday immediately preceding the first student day) has two purposes: Up to one-half (0.5) of the time on this date may be utilized at the building and/or District level as determined by the principal/District (System PD). No less than one-half (0.5) of the time on this date will be available to employees for individual preparation and planning for instruction. c. If a school schedules a “meet and greet” activity in which families are invited to come to school and meet their child’s teacher before the first day of school, such activity will be scheduled during the System PD time described in a. or b. above. 2. One Friday in November for conferencing with families at the elementary and middle school level (see Article VIII, Section 1.G); and 3.5 hours of System PD and 3.5 hours of individually-determined work at the high school level (see Article VIII, Section 10.L). 3. Two Fridays, one in October and one in March, for System PD. 4. One Friday in September with two purposes: 3.5 hours for System PD and 3.5 hours for individual preparation and planning for instruction. The individual time may be worked on- or off-site. 5. Specialist and itinerant staff professional development will be aligned with programmatic and/or individual staff goals for improving best practices in the area of their specialty. Specialist and itinerant staff (nurses, OTs, PTs, school psychologists, and SLPs) may exchange the September, October and March non- instructional workdays to support discipline-specific professional development and/or collaboration activities (e.g., a professional conference that occurs on alternate days outside the student school year). A specialist or group of specialists who wish to exchange one of these workdays for another shall, at the earliest practical opportunity, submit a written plan for use of the time and the professional goals to be achieved to ...

  • Development Work The Support Standards do not include development work either (i) on software not licensed from CentralSquare or (ii) development work for enhancements or features that are outside the documented functionality of the Solutions, except such work as may be specifically purchased and outlined in Exhibit 1. CentralSquare retains all Intellectual Property Rights in development work performed and Customer may request consulting and development work from CentralSquare as a separate billable service.

  • Workdays All workdays when the central and administrative offices are open shall be duty days for members employed on a twelve-month basis. All student days, when the schools are open, shall be duty days for members employed on a ten-month basis.

  • Contract Work Contract work means capital project work within existing plant facilities, major maintenance and/or revamp work, plant modifications and/or shutdown work, minor maintenance and/or repair work, breakdown maintenance.

  • Project Work Plan The Statement of Work is the formal document incorporated into the Grant. The Project Work Plan documents how the Grantee will achieve the performance measures outlined in the Grant. Changes to the Statement of Work require an amendment. Project Work Plans may be changed with written approval from PEI and the Grantee.

  • Project Work PURCHASER shall complete the following projects in accordance with the specifications provided in Exhibits B, C, D, E, and F and written instructions from STATE. Project locations are shown on Exhibit A unless otherwise described. PURCHASER shall furnish all material unless otherwise specified.

  • Phases Contractor acknowledges and agrees the Project will progress in phases, in accordance with the Project Schedule. Contractor shall prepare, for Owner Parties’ review and approval, a separate Construction Schedule, for each phase. Each phase shall commence upon Owner Parties’ issuance of a Notice to Proceed for such phase and shall achieve Substantial Completion by the milestone dates set forth in the Contract Documents, including the Construction Schedule.

  • UNIT WORK When the Employer deems it necessary in order to carry out a mission and operations of the campus, the Employer may contract out work provided that the contracting out does not displace bargaining unit employees or reduces their scheduled hours. The Maine Community College shall notify MSEA-SEIU when contracting out is to be implemented. MSEA-SEIU may request to meet and confer on the impact on contracting out such work. The Maine Community College shall meet with MSEA-SEIU within thirty (30) days of such request. Notice to MSEA-SEIU shall be not later than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the commencement of the contracting out. In emergency circumstances, when the College enters into a contract under which contracting out will commence in less than thirty (30) days, when possible, notification shall be made two (2) weeks prior to implementing the contract, but in no event later than ten (10) working days after the commencement of the contracting out. Prior to the meeting and conferring on contracting out, the Maine Community College System will provide MSEA-SEIU all relevant written information, including copies of bids received, any cost analysis used by the College to evaluate the need for contracting out, and all other relevant material used by the College in making its decision regarding contracting out. Contracting out of the type of work normally performed by existing bargaining unit members for limited periods not to exceed six (6) months shall be allowed without the Union’s agreement if one or more of the following conditions are present at the affected campus or other non-campus location (such as the System Office in Augusta): 1. The skills and abilities or legally required licenses or equipment needed to perform the work are not available within the bargaining unit. 2. The opportunity to do the work is declined by any qualified and available bargaining unit employees. “Qualified” as used in this Article is defined as having special skills, abilities, license or equipment necessary to perform the work.

  • Shift Work Shift work is work not in excess of ordinary hours (ie 38 hours per week), but carried out wholly or partly between the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday. Shift work is work scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees required to work shift work will be paid at time and one quarter of the ordinary rate per hour for ordinary hours worked.

  • Development Program RWJPRI shall be [**] and have [**] in consultation with the JDAC, to select LICENSED COMPOUNDS which shall then be designated PRODUCTS for further DEVELOPMENT by RWJPRI and marketing by ORTHO and its AFFILIATES. RWJPRI shall provide KOSAN with written notice of its decision to select a LICENSED COMPOUND for DEVELOPMENT. Once a PRODUCT has been selected for further DEVELOPMENT, RWJPRI, with the advice of the JDAC, shall have the [**] right to develop the PRODUCT through STAGES O, I, II and III and shall have the [**] right to prepare and file, and shall be the owner of, all applications for MARKETING AUTHORIZATION throughout the world. During such DEVELOPMENT efforts, KOSAN will assist RWJPRI as may be mutually agreed, at RWJPRI's expense, in chemical development, formulation development, production of labeled material and production of sufficient quantities of material for STAGE O and initial STAGE I studies. RWJPRI shall exercise diligent efforts, commensurate with the efforts it would normally exercise for products with similar potential sales volume and consistent with its overall business strategy, in developing such PRODUCT in accordance with the DEVELOPMENT PLAN established by RWJPRI. In the course of such efforts RWJPRI shall, either directly or through an AFFILIATE or SUBLICENSEE to which the license shall have been extended, take appropriate steps including the following: (i) in consultation with the JDAC, select certain LICENSED COMPOUNDS for STAGE O DEVELOPMENT; and (ii) establish and maintain a program reasonably designed, funded and resourced to obtain information adequate to enable the preparation and filing with an appropriate and properly empowered national regulatory authority all necessary documentation, data and [**] CERTAIN INFORMATION IN THIS EXHIBIT HAS BEEN OMITTED AND FILED SEPARATELY WITH THE COMMISSION. CONFIDENTIAL TREATMENT HAS BEEN REQUESTED WITH RESPECT TO THE OMITTED PORTIONS. other evidence required for IND non-rejection to commence and conduct human clinical trials of such PRODUCT. (iii) proceed following IND non-rejection to commence PHASE I, II, and III clinical trials, associated studies and such other work which RWJPRI reasonably deems to be required for subsequent inclusion in filings for MARKETING AUTHORIZATION; (iv) after such submissions are filed prosecute such submissions and file all reasonably necessary, reports and respond to all reasonable requests from the pertinent regulatory, authorities for information, data, samples, tests and the like.

  • Pilot Programs The Employer may develop voluntary pilot programs to test the acceptability of various risk management programs. Incentives for participation in such programs may include limited short-term improvements to the benefits outlined in this Article. Implementation of such pilot programs is subject to the review and approval of the Joint Labor-Management Committee on Health Plans.
