Professional Conference. The College will encourage each faculty member to attend professional conferences. If a faculty member's request to attend a professional conference is approved, a faculty member will be reimbursed to the full extent allowed by the laws of the State of Florida for the expenses incurred.
Professional Conference. Administrators are encouraged to attend conferences on topics of interest to both the district and the administrator. Remuneration for expenses will be mutually agreed upon by the administrator and the Superintendent of Schools.

2. A request for a staff member's attendance at a professional meeting may be approved by the Superintendent of Schools upon the recommendation of an appropriate administrator.

b. Travel
c. Lodging
d. Meals
e. Gratuities
f. Miscellaneous, as itemized
4. A staff member who requests attendance at a professional meeting in his/her field of teaching and pays his/her own expenses may be permitted to attend without loss in pay providing a suitable substitute teacher is procured.
Professional Conference. Teachers who are designated by the BFO to attend annual conferences of the New York State United Teachers, American Federation of Teachers, and the National Education Association shall be granted such leave with salary as is necessary in order to discharge their obligations as delegates to such conferences. Such leave shall not be charged against sick leave. The number of such delegates shall not exceed three each. Teachers may also be excused to attend educational visitations, conferences, trips, or meetings without loss in salary or charge against sick leave, provided that the Superintendent of Schools approves such absence in advance.

a. When appearance on a program is incidental to attendance at a professional meeting in the teacher's field, the teacher pays his/her expenses but does not lose pay.
Professional Conference. The Collective Bargaining Agreement provides procedures for Professional Conference Attendance. You are advised to read this section. In addition to the procedures outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the following guidelines will be applied as administrative policy as professional conferences are considered for approval.

Professional Conference. During the Employment Term, the ----------------------- Executive shall be entitled to attend up to two (2) professional conferences per year which are mutually agreed to by the Bank and the Executive; provided that such conference is related to the Executive's area of primary responsibility.
