Normal Day Off a. Employees scheduled to work will only earn meals after completing an eight (8) hour shift on the first and second days of rest. (For accounting purposes only, one (1) meal shall be credited for the first eight (8) hours worked on the first and second days of rest). b. Employees scheduled to work on a normal day off for hours other than those usually worked on a regular working day shall be entitled to meals in accordance with Sections 8, 9, 10, or 11.

Normal Day Off. Employee has worked four (4) consecutive hours or more of overtime on their normal day off. If the overtime work described above is continued, an additional meal allowance shall be paid at intervals of four (4) hours, beginning after the first meal allowance became due. Employees will be reimbursed at the dinner rate for each meal incurred during the work period, not to exceed the maximum reimbursement allowed per day. For the purposes of calculating this reimbursement, the day begins at 12:00 am and ends at 11:59 pm.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Lay-Off An employee who has one year or more of continuous employment and who is laid off is entitled to be paid severance pay.

  • Paydays (a) Paydays will remain the current practice unless otherwise negotiated between the parties. (b) A comprehensive statement detailing all payments, allowances and deductions will be provided each pay period. The Employer will advise employees in writing on a monthly basis their vacation, sick leave, lieu time and overtime banks. (c) The distribution of paycheques will be done in such a manner that the details of the paycheque will be confidential.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest ‌ (a) When a paid holiday falls on a regular full-time employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu of the holiday. (b) If a regular full-time employee is called in to work on the day designated as the lieu day pursuant to (a) above, he/she shall be compensated at time and one-half for all hours worked.

  • Payday (a) Employees shall be paid biweekly. (b) The Employer shall provide each employee with a comprehensive statement accompanying each direct deposit detailing all payments, allowances and deductions.

  • 360-Day Year Interest shall be computed on the basis of a 360-day year for the actual number of days elapsed.

  • Christmas or New Year's Day Off The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees required to work shift shall have at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off.

  • Working on a Holiday An employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of straight time plus time and one-half (1 1/2).

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Loading on Annual Leave During a period of annual leave an Employee covered by this clause shall receive a loading of 22.5% calculated on the all-purpose rate of wage prescribed by Appendix A, clause 2.3 of this Agreement.
