Common use of Notice of Shift Change Clause in Contracts

Notice of Shift Change. (i) In the event a regular employee's normal shift schedule is changed, the Employer will endeavour to give twenty-four (24) hours’ notice of such change. (ii) When such notice is not given, the employee shall receive a premium of seventy-five cents (75c/ ) per hour in addition to his/her regular basic pay for work performed on the first shift of the schedule to which he/she was changed. (iii) The above notwithstanding, this Article does not apply to emergency situations.
