O rganization Leave. The Organization shall be granted a maximum of ten (10) days of leave without loss of pay per year (July 1 through June 30), to be used by members who are officers or representatives of the Organization other than the President. Granted days are subject to the full cost of the Organizations officers or representatives (salary, benefits, substitute) which will be reimbursed by the Organization to the District if the meeting is conducted during the member’s work day. The President of the Organization shall be granted a maximum of ten (10) days leave (July 1 through June 30) for services rendered to the Organization and its members subject to the full cost of the Organization President (salary, benefits, substitute) which will be reimbursed by the Organization to the District if the meeting is conducted during the President’s work day. Meetings/hearings concerning contract administration which occur during the regularly scheduled work day that require the presence of a representative of the Organization shall not count as Organization leave, but remain subject to reimbursement to the District as prescribed above. Contract administration meetings/hearings shall not result in a loss of pay to the employee or the representative of the Organization. A written notification of use, detailing when, why and by whom the leave is to be used, will be submitted to the Superintendent. The Organization shall make every effort to provide this notification at least one week in advance of the usage. No salary deductions will be made for the above days.

  • Employee Organization Leave Notification of a unit member's intent to take Employee Organization Leave shall be submitted to the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources no later than thirty (30) days prior to the starting date of the leave. In addition to the leave benefits granted to representatives of employee organizations by law, unit members on employee organization leave shall not accrue vacation credit, nor submit time reports for vacation leaves. Sick leave shall continue to accrue and sick leave time reporting shall be processed through the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources. AFT shall notify the District no less than sixty days (60) prior to the return to service of a unit member on Employee Organization Leave.

  • Organizational Leave The Board of Education will provide for leaves of absence without pay to elected officers or appointed representatives of Local No. 284. Employees acting as business agent must take an unpaid leave of absence from their position.

  • Federation Leave A leave of absence for the president and a second position of the Federation shall be granted to any employee covered by this Agreement upon application by the Federation for the purpose of the employee serving as an officer of the Federation. The District shall continue to pay such employee(s) and provide benefits, with the exception of leave benefits, but will be reimbursed by the Federation for the cost of salary and fringe benefits. Upon return from such leaves, an employee shall proceed on the salary schedule as if s/he had been employed with the District each year of the leave. The Federation agrees to consider carefully each request for release time for Federation members. Although leaves for short terms without loss of pay may be granted upon approval by the Office of the Superintendent, the Federation shall reimburse the District for the cost of salaries and fringe benefits.

  • Union Leave (a) Upon receiving a written request at least one (1) week in advance from the Union, the Company will grant leave of absence for not more than two (2) employees at any one time to attend Union conferences, conventions, or workshops, providing that the combined leaves of absence will not exceed forty (40) working days in any one (1) calendar year. Such leaves of absence will be without pay but with maintenance and accumulation of benefits (normal payroll deductions to apply).

  • Parental Leave/Adoption Leave An employee will be granted unpaid parental leave for a period up to and including thirty-five (35) weeks, upon request and verification of:

  • Transition Leave At the Appointing Authority’s discretion an employee under notice of permanent layoff may be granted up to one hundred and sixty (160) hours of paid leave, ending at the date of layoff. Hours of leave may be granted at any time throughout the layoff notice period and shall not be subject to the Application and Reinstatement provision of this Article.

  • Blood Donation Leave Leave shall be granted to employees to donate blood at an onsite and Appointing Authority endorsed program.

  • Graduation Leave It is understood that in the case of secondary or post secondary graduation of self or spouse, son or daughter, one day leave with pay shall be granted. Two (2) days leave with pay shall be granted where travel arrangements necessitate such absence from school.
