Organization Leave a. A unit member's election as an officer or member of the executive board of the Union or appointment to act on Union business shall be considered a good and sufficient reason for a leave of absence.
Organization Leave. 10.1 A professional staff member may apply to the Superintendent of schools for leave to serve an organization of his/her choice. The approval or denial of such leave and the terms under which such leave will be granted are matters within the discretion of the Board.
Organization Leave. Subd. 1. Definition: A teacher who is elected and/or appointed to an executive position in AHEM at the local, state and/or national level shall be granted a leave under the conditions specified in MS 179A.07, Subdivision 6. Benefits under Article XV, Section 3, Subd. 3 shall apply.
Organization Leave. Unit members who are official delegates to Union conferences and conventions shall be allowed up to five days’ leave with pay per year for the purpose of attending such conferences and conventions, provided the Union reimburses the District for the cost of the substitute, if any.
Organization Leave. 8-5-A On July l of each year, the Organization shall be credited with fifteen (15) days aggregate leave to be used for Organization business. Such leave is not accumulative. 8-5-B Organization leave must be requested by the Organization president not less than three (3) work days prior to the commencement of such leave. 8-5-C The Organization will be billed in accordance with Nevada Revised Statute Chapter 288 for individuals released for Organization leave.
Organization Leave a. The Organization will be granted up to twenty days of paid leave for its representatives for Association related business. (amended 2005)
Organization Leave. The Association shall be provided with a total of 1,000 hours of employee organizational leave credit during each year of this Agreement to be used for the purpose of attending executive board meetings, internal Association committees, Association meetings, and implementation and enforcement of this Agreement. Whenever practicable, advance written notice of the names of employees to be released shall be given to the designated Employer representative at least two days prior to the date work schedules must be posted, in order to arrange for time off and scheduling. The allocation of such released time to individuals shall be the sole prerogative of the Association. Any executive board member may utilize annual leave (vacation) or compensatory time for Association meetings and shall not be denied such leave for such purpose except in emergencies, after having given advance written notice, whenever practicable, at least two days prior to the date work schedules must be posted. Employee organization leave shall be released time without charge to annual leave or compensatory time credits, except as provided in the preceding paragraph. Employee organization leave provided for in this Article shall be granted provided that it has been requested with advance written notice, as set forth above, and that the resulting absence from work will not impair or interfere with any emergency services of the Department. The Department shall send to the Association a statement at the end of each month showing the total employee organizational leave used pursuant to this Article. This statement shall be presumed correct unless the Association immediately advises the Director or his or her designee of any claimed errors.
Organization Leave. To fulfill the responsibilities of representing their members, employee organizations may request in any one (1) school year a maximum leave of three (3) quarters for two (2) members designated by the employee organization chairperson/president. Such leaves shall be granted at no cost to the district.
Organization Leave. At the beginning of every school year, the PTO shall be credited with four days without loss of pay to be used by teachers who are officers or agents of the PTO when such request is made to the Superintendent by the Unit President. The Superintendent may deny such leave if the request is received less than 24 hours in advance, or if such leave would create an undue burden on the District.
Organization Leave. No more than two (2) bargaining unit members at any one time shall be granted Organization Leave upon request in writing to the Superintendent as far in advance of the leave as possible. Such leaves will not exceed a total of ten (10) work days for the District within a school year, and will be for the express purpose of attending Organization meetings, conferences, training seminars or other organizational affairs in the process of representing bargaining unit member interests under this contract and in the District, without loss of pay for the approved participants. Submitted requests will be approved if the absence will not unduly hamper the educational program.
