All of the above actions by the Hospital are subject to the grievance procedure.

It shall be the responsibility of the employee to keep the Company informed of his current address; or is laid off for a period in excess of twelve (12) months; or absence due to illness or injury shall not be cause for loss of seniority providing the employee provides satisfactory medical evidence relating to such absence. The employee shall notify the Company when he is able to return to work and shall co-operate with the Company in returning to work. An employee off work as set out above, shall not retain seniority over a senior employee on lay-off. The Company and Union agree to review any instance where medical evidence indicates such employee can not return to work.
