Common use of Off Shift Premium Clause in Contracts

Off Shift Premium. Off shift shall be defined as a shift where the majority of an employee’s scheduled hours fall between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. The Employer agrees to pay any employee working the off shift fifty-five (55¢) cents per hour in addition to the employee’s regular hourly rate of pay. The increase to fifty-five (55¢) cents per hour shall be effective on the date of ratification. Effective February 1, 2022 the premium will increase to sixty (60¢) cents per hour.
