One Day Reduction of Hours. On a reduction of hours for one day, plant seniority within the Section, within each shift shall apply. An Employee who has the plant seniority within the Section shall exercise that seniority by replacing the least senior Employee in the Section and may accept the assigned work as determined by the Company, or accept the reduction of hours. If the work is not accepted, but is required, then the Company will assign the work in reverse order of seniority within the department on the shift affected. The Employer will give sixteen (16) hours notice of such reduction of hours of less than two (2) days excluding week- ends.

  • Reduction of Hours The Employer shall not reduce the weekly hours of work of an employee for the purpose of replacing such hours with another employee at a lower hourly rate of pay.
