Reduction of Hours definition

Reduction of Hours as used in this article shall mean any reducing of hours from the current work agreement to a new number of hours that is less than those stated in the current work agreement.

Reduction of Hours means a reduction of hours, during a scheduled shift for two (2) weeks or ten (10) days, within specific department. (1) In the case of a reduction of hours, during a scheduled shift for two (2) work weeks or ten (10) working days, within a specific department, the Employer will retain the most senior employee, within that department. (2) During a scheduled shift of two (2) weeks or less, an employee whose hours have been reduced in a specific department cannot bump a junior employee in another department.

More Definitions of Reduction of Hours

Reduction of Hours means a loss of time of at least one half (½) hours not due to 16 disciplinary reasons. A reduction of hours shall not constitute a layoff. 18 In case of reduction of hours, the Association and District agree to meet and confer regarding said 19 reductions. Reduction of Hours means the reduction of an employee’s scheduled work hours by the Employer by more than eight (8) hours per pay period for what is anticipated to be an indefinite length of time. Employees on layoff shall retain accrued date-of-hire and job classificationdepartment seniority but further accruals shall cease. When an employee is selected for layoff or hours’ reduction, the employee may bump an employee in another bargaining unit job classification within the department having less date-of-hire seniority. Also, the employee to be bumped must be the least senior employee in the other job classification. and Tthe bumping employee must have worked in the other job classification as a non-probationary employee during the preceding one (1) year and the bumping employee must be otherwise qualified. The Employer shall not use temporary or probationary employees or any persons outside of the bargaining unit to do bargaining unit work while any qualified employee is on layoff or reduced hours and requests work. When the Employer determines to recall laid off employees, or to restore reduced hours, it shall do so in reverse order of layoff or hours reduction, as the case may be, provided that the employee must be qualified to perform the available work.

Related to Reduction of Hours

  • Base Hours means the hours of work for which a staff member receives compensation. Base hours shall include overtime hours for which a staff member is paid additional or overtime compensation, and hours for which a staff member receives workers’ compensation benefits. Base hours shall also include hours a staff member would have worked except for having been in military service. Base hours do not include hours for when a staff member receives other types of compensation, such as administrative, personal leave, vacation, or sick leave.

  • Service Hours means the amount of time (measured in hours or fractions thereof) a Unit is Delivering Energy or Ancillary Services pursuant to a Dispatch Notice.

  • Reduction Date has the meaning set forth in Section 20.1B.

  • Base Day-ahead Scheduling Reserves Requirement means the thirty-minute reserve requirement for the PJM Region established consistent with the Applicable Standards, plus any additional thirty-minute reserves scheduled in response to an RTO-wide Hot or Cold Weather Alert or other reasons for conservative operations.

  • Additional Day-ahead Scheduling Reserves Requirement means the portion of the Day- ahead Scheduling Reserves Requirement that is required in addition to the Base Day-ahead Scheduling Reserves Requirement to ensure adequate resources are procured to meet real-time load and operational needs, as specified in the PJM Manuals.

  • Regular Hours means the hours between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday, excluding the following holidays: Presidents' Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

  • Reduction Event means any of the following:

  • office hours means the period beginning at 10:00 a.m. of a day and ending at 4:30 p.m. of the same day.

  • Peak Hours or “Peak Period” means the period with the highest ridership during the entire transit service day as determined by the transit operator.   • Locational Deliverability Area Reliability Requirement means the projected internal capacity in the Locational Deliverability Area plus the Capacity Emergency Transfer Objective for the Delivery Year, as determined by the Office of the Interconnection in connection with preparation of the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan, less the minimum internal resources required for all FRR Entities in such Locational Deliverability Area.

  • Support Hours means between 8:30am and 5pm during Monday to Friday excluding standard UK Bank Holidays.

  • Yield Maintenance Period means the period from and including the date of this Note until but not including the Scheduled Initial Maturity Date.

  • Regular hours worked means those hours which the court is regularly scheduled to work during any given work week. Depending on the particular court, these hours may vary from court to court within the county but remain the same for each work week.

  • Off-Peak Hours means those hours which are not On-Peak Hours.

  • Special Reimbursement Date means, the special payment date established in connection with a Reimbursement under Special Circumstances as described hereunder “Extraordinary Events and Special Circumstances – Reimbursement Under Special Circumstances and Payment”.

  • Market Hours means the hours during which we are prepared to provide quotes for Our Price and execute Trades and Orders in a Market, as further specified in the Market Information.

  • Monthly Minimum Removal Efficiency means the minimum reduction in the pollutant parameter specified when the effluent average monthly concentration for that parameter is compared to the influent average monthly concentration.

  • Maintenance Period shall have the meaning set forth in Clause 14.1; “Maintenance Requirements” shall have the meaning set forth in Clause 14.2;
