Ongoing Shared Services Work. Inergi may assign an employee to perform work for more than one bargaining unit on an ongoing basis, subject to the following conditions: • The employee retains all rights under the collective agreement of their “home” bargaining unit. • Vacancies for existing positions providing Shared Services shall be advertised in the positions original ‘home’ bargaining unit. • Vacancies for new positions providing Shared Services shall be allocated to the bargaining unit that possesses the skills and capabilities to do the work most effectively consistent with the historical distribution of the Shared Services work function (e.g., finance, human resources) between the two bargaining units. • The historical distribution is that calculated as of December 31, 2003. • These assignments shall be consistent with the employee’s job document. • Reciprocal rights apply to employees in both bargaining units. The Society Inergi bargaining unit confirms that reciprocal rights apply to Society-represented employees of NHSS performing Inergi work.

Inergi LP may assign an e mployee to perform work in more than one BU on an ongoing basis, subject to the following conditions: • The employee retains all rights under th e collective agreement for their “home” BU. • Vacancies for existing positions providing Shared Services shall be advertised in the position’s original “home” BU. • Vacancies for new positions providing Shar ed Services shall be allocated to the BU that possesses the skills and capabilit ies to do the work most effectively consistent with the historical distribu tion of the Shared Services work by function (e.g. Finance, Human Resources) between the two BUs. • The historical distribution will be calculated as of April 1, 2004. • These assignments shall be consistent wi th the employee’s job classification. • No regular employee will be in voluntarily laid off as a result of the use of Shared Services.
