Other Part-time Teacher Conditions. 6.3.1. The timetable for a continuous part-time teacher shall be contiguous, where reasonably practicable. A continuous part-time teacher whose timetable is not able to be made contiguous will be provided with the rationale in writing for the decision.
6.3.2. A part-time teacher whose FTE is altered will be provided with the rationale for the decision.
Other Part-time Teacher Conditions. 6.4.1 Any teacher who is reduced to a part-time position by administration will retain all rights of full-time employment throughout said period. If the part-time position is terminated or if the teacher requests full-time employment, the teacher will be provided with full-time employment within one (1) year, providing a mutually acceptable position is available.
6.4.2 A part-time teacher's assignment should be contiguous. In the event that part- time teacher's assignment is not designed to be contiguous, they will be provided with a written rationale of the decision and will have the opportunity to appeal the assignment to the Assistant Superintendent of Employee Services for review.
6.4.3 Unless mutually agreed upon, a part-time teacher's part-time equivalent shall not be changed by more than zero point two-five (0.25) FTE in any given school year, without mutual agreement between the School Division and the teacher.
Other Part-time Teacher Conditions a) Any teacher employed on a full-time (1.0 FTE) continuing contract who agrees to employment on a part-time contract shall be given a part-time continuing contract for an agreed upon period, and notwithstanding section 211(1) of the Education Act, that contract shall be for a specified portion of a full-time equivalent which shall not be varied during that time except by consent.
b) At the end of the initial or any subsequent time period the teacher shall return to a full-time contract unless, prior to March 1 of the year in question, the teacher and the School Division agree to renew the part-time contract arrangement for a new time period. Nothing in this clause precludes any change in the contract by mutual consent.
c) If the length of the part-time contract noted in (a) above is one year or less, the teacher shall be returned to the position held prior to the part-time teaching assignment. Should that position no longer exist, the teacher shall be placed in a full-time position with the School Division. Should the teacher continue in the part-time position for more than one year, that teacher shall be placed in a full-time teaching position with the School Division upon the teacher's return to full-time service.
Other Part-time Teacher Conditions. 6.3.1 The maximum part-time teaching assignment shall be 0.95 FTE. Any assignment above 0.95 FTE shall be considered a full time 1.00 FTE assignment.
Other Part-time Teacher Conditions. 6.3.1. Movement Between Part-Time and Full-Time Assignment
a) Any teacher employed on a full-time (one point zero (1.0) FTE) continuing contract who agrees to employment on a part-time contract shall be given a part-time continuing contract for an agreed upon period and notwithstanding section 211(2) of the Education Act, that contract shall be for a specified portion of a full-time equivalent which shall not be varied during that time except by consent.
b) At the end of the initial or any subsequent time period the teacher shall return to a full-time contract unless, prior to May 1 of the year in question, the teacher and the School Division agree to renew the part-time contract arrangement for a new time period. Nothing in this article precludes any change in the contract by mutual consent.
c) If the length of the part-time contract noted in (a) above is one (1) year or less, the teacher shall be returned to the position held prior to the part-time teaching assignment. Should that position no longer exist, the teacher shall be placed in a full-time position with the School Division. Should the teacher continue in the part- time position for more than one (1) year, that teacher shall be placed in a full-time teaching position with the School Division upon the teacher's return to full-time service.
6.3.2. Teachers on a continuous part-time contract shall not have their full-time equivalent status vary more than plus or minus zero point three (0.3) FTE without consent of both parties.
Other Part-time Teacher Conditions. 6.3.1. The Employer may provide a part-time assignment to a teacher with a full-time continuous contract, upon the teacher’s request.
Other Part-time Teacher Conditions. 6.4.1 A teacher on continuing full-time contract who voluntarily accepts a part-time position:
a) will be given a part-time continuing contract for a specified period.
b) at the end of the specified period, or any other agreed-upon period, will be reinstated in a full-time position with continuing full-time contract status.
6.4.2 Teachers on a continuous part-time contract shall not have their full-time equivalent status vary more than plus or minus 0.15 FTE without consent of both parties.
Other Part-time Teacher Conditions. 6.4.1. A part time teacher’s FTE will not be varied by more than a zero point two (0.2) FTE without mutual agreement.

At the conclusion of the term contract, and unless extended or altered by mutual agreement, the teacher shall be returned to a full-time (one point zero (1.0) FTE) continuing contract.
