Common use of Other Union Business Clause in Contracts

Other Union Business. Leave without pay will be granted to an employee duly authorized to represent employees at Council meetings or Conventions of the Union, at recognized annual meetings of the Ontario Federation of Labour and/or the Canadian Labour Congress, to attend to the affairs of the Local Union, or attend to educational seminars of the Union. A request for such leave shall be submitted at least fifteen (15) days in advance. Such leave(s) shall be limited to an aggregate total of 70 working days leave from the Authority in any year.
