Outreach and Training. Tenant anticipates that over 1,000 jobs can be made available to City of North Miami residents as part of its development, construction and operational program, as more particularly set forth on Exhibit H attached hereto. As part of the Local Preference Plan required in Section 35.2.1, above, Tenant shall prepare a program of outreach and training of members of the Local Preference Group designed to create a qualified workforce and qualified firms or entities. Tenant shall inventory and identify (a) existing education and training resources available from established public and private educational institutions, and (b) unmet needs that those institutions can potentially meet to educate and train North Miami residents for specific positions available because of the activities of Tenant. Tenant shall also identify education and training programs available to assist private businesses in North Miami take advantage of the market demand for goods and services required by Tenant in the development of the project. Tenant shall provide notice to its Subtenants of the applicable ordinances and require compliance by Subtenants with the local preference goals for the hiring of North Miami residents described in this Section in their Subleases, for both the construction period and long-term employment.

Outreach and Training. As part of the plan required in Section 35.2.1, above, Tenant shall prepare a program of outreach and training of North Miami residents necessary for the creation of a qualified workforce. Tenant shall inventory and identify existing education and training resources available from established public and private educational institutions, and identify and work to fill unmet needs that those institutions can meet to educate and train North Miami residents for specific positions available because of the activities of the Tenant. Tenant shall also identify education and training programs available to assist private businesses in North Miami take advantage of the market demand for goods and services required by Tenant in the development of the project. Tenant shall provide notice to Subtenants of the applicable ordinances and require compliance by Subtenants with the foregoing local preference goals in their Subleases for both construction and long-term employment.
Outreach and Training. Tenant shall implement a local business outreach program designed to increase Local Preference Group participation as suppliers of goods, services, and labor (including as subcontractors), subject to applicable Laws, during the first ten (10) Lease Years. In addition, Tenant shall provide Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) annually to the City of North Miami CRA for use in training and certification programs for the Local Preference Group. Tenant shall provide notice to Subtenants of the applicable ordinances and require compliance by Subtenants with the foregoing local preference goals in their Subleases for both construction and long-term employment.

Related to Outreach and Training

  • Orientation and Training A transferring employee will be orientated separately to both or their new home in accordance with Article 20 the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work. Certain training required by the DOT Regulations shall be the responsibility of the Substance Abuse Program.

  • Trainings Appointment of any length involving two (2) or more Consumers who might need to split up to join different trainings, group discussions, etc.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Job Training ‌ The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes: (1) for planning training programs for those employees affected by technological change; (2) for planning training programs to enable employees to qualify for new positions being planned through future expansion or renovation; (3) for planning training programs for those employees affected by new methods of operation; (4) for planning training programs in the area of general skill upgrading. Whenever necessary, this Committee shall seek the assistance of external training resources such as the Federal Human Resources Development Canada and Provincial Ministry of Labour, or other recognized training institutions.

  • Technical Training The CAISO and the Participating TOs shall respond to reasonable requests for support and provide relevant technical training to each other’s employees to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the CAISO Controlled Grid and to comply with any NERC or WECC operator certification or training requirements. Examples of such technical training include, but are not limited to: (1) the theory or operation of new or modified equipment (e.g., control systems, Remedial Action Schemes, protective relays); (2) computer and applicator programs; and (3) CAISO (or Participating TO) requirements. The Parties shall enter into agreements regarding the timing, term, locations, and cost allocation for the training.

  • Safety Training Pursuant to Missouri Revised Statute Section 292.675, Contractors and subcontractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. Contractors and subcontractors in violation of this provision will forfeit to the public body $2,500 plus $100 a day for each employee who is employed without training. Public bodies and contractors may withhold/assess these penalties from the payment due to those contractors and subcontractors if found to be in non-compliance.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers. 2. Regular review of its job-related and career development and training programs will be made by the State in order to provide suitable programs for employees covered by this Agreement. When undertaking any such review, the State shall notify employees of such review and take into account suggestions and proposals made by employees. 3. Employees shall be given a reasonable notice of applicable, development and training programs available. Such notice shall include an explanation of the procedure for applying for the program. Notices of development and training programs shall be posted for reasonable periods in advance on bulletin boards at applicable work locations within the agencies involved. An appointing authority shall make every effort to permit employees' participation in such career development and training programs. Participation in any training inside or outside of work hours which is required by the State as a condition of fulfilling the requirements of the employee's job, or any in-service State training which is conducted or undertaken during normally scheduled work hours will be considered as time worked. 4. The State shall pay tuition, course-related fees, other approved course required costs and for necessary travel and lodging pursuant to established policies and procedures.

  • Professional Development and Training The Company shall pay for or reimburse the Executive for any reasonable professional development or training.

  • STUDENTS AND TRAINEES Payments which a student, or an apprentice or business, technical, agricultural or forestry trainee, who is or was immediately before visiting a Contracting State a resident of the other Contracting State and who is present in the first-mentioned State solely for the purpose of his education or training receives for the purpose of his maintenance, education or training shall not be taxed in that State, provided that such payments arise from sources outside that State.
