Overseas Teaching. Peace Corps or similar service.
Overseas Teaching. Upon the recommendation of the District Superintendent, an unpaid leave may be granted of not more than one (1) school year for overseas teaching. Extension of this leave may be granted by the Board upon request, but such extension shall not exceed one (1) additional school year. The number of persons on overseas assignment shall be limited each year to not more than one percent (1%) of the total District certificated staff. A leave of absence for overseas teaching may be granted to employees who have taught at least one (1) year as a permanent employee of the District. An employee returning to the District after such a leave will be granted salary step increments for the time spent in an overseas teaching assignment at the District’s discretion. Request for overseas teaching leave must be submitted by April 1 of the school year preceding the requested leave.
Overseas Teaching. An unpaid leave may be granted to any continuing status faculty member for one (1) tour of duty served in an overseas teaching assignment.
a. Requests for such leave should be submitted as follows:
i. For the Fall semester: on or before February 1st.
ii. For the Winter semester: on or before September 1st
b. Upon return from such leave, a faculty member shall be placed at the same position on the salary schedule that he/she would have been placed had he/she taught in the College during such a period.
Overseas Teaching. 53.1 Teaching of University courses and programs overseas by University staff will be conducted on the following basis:
(a) participation will be voluntary, except where such teaching is a genuine requirement of the position and that requirement is expressly stated in the employment contract;
(b) overseas work will be factored into normal workloads; and
(c) Employees will be reimbursed for costs incurred in accordance with University policy.

An employee in the unit returning to the District after such a leave will be granted salary step increments for the time spent in an overseas teaching assignment in accordance with the salary schedule allowance for out-of-District experience. Request for overseas teaching must be submitted by April 1 of the school year preceding the requested leave.
Overseas Teaching. 58.1 Teaching of La Trobe University courses and programs overseas by University staff will be conducted on the following basis:
(a) participation will be voluntary, except where such teaching is a genuine requirement of the position and that requirement is expressly stated in the employment contract;
(b) overseas work will be factored into normal workloads; and
(c) employees will be reimbursed for costs incurred in accordance with University policy which is reflected from time to time in the HR Resource Library.
Overseas Teaching. Upon the recommendation of the District 14 Superintendent, an unpaid leave may be granted of not more than one (1) school 15 year for overseas teaching. Extension of this leave may be granted by the Board 16 upon request, but such extension shall not exceed one (1) additional school year.
