OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY. The work week shall begin on Monday and shall end Sunday. All hours worked by an employee in excess of eight (8) hours per shift and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half the straight time rate. All hours worked in excess of ten (10) hours per shift and all hours worked on Sunday shall be paid at the rate of double the straight time rate. If no work is performed on Monday, no pay shall be required other than waiting time if applicable. In the event that one of the above holidays falls during the work week, the Employer, at his option, designate an alternate day to he substituted for such holiday in order to provide, where possible, for a long weekend.
