OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY. 9.1 The work week shall begin on Sunday and shall end Saturday. All hours worked by an employee in excess of eight (8) hours per shift and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half the straight time rate. All hours worked on Saturday shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half the straight time rate and all hours worked on Sunday shall be paid at the rate of double the straight time rate. Work performed on New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, first Monday in August, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day and any such day proclaimed a general holiday by the Federal or Provincial Governments shall be paid for at double the straight time hourly rate, provided that where one of the holidays above mentioned falls during the work week, all hours worked that week by an employee, other than on Saturday, Sunday or the holiday, in excess of ten (10) hours per shift and forty (40) straight time hours shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half the straight time rate. Upon mutual agreement, in writing, between the Employer and the Local Union business representative the regular work week may be adjusted to allow for the working of four consecutive regular work days consisting of four ten hour days. 9.2 If one of the holidays in paragraph 9.1 falls on Sunday, it shall be observed on Monday. Accordingly, if such an event occurs, work performed on Monday shall be paid for at double the straight time hourly rate. If no work is performed on Monday, no pay shall be required other than waiting time if applicable. In the event that one of the above holidays falls during the work week, the Employer, at his option, may designate an alternate day to be substituted for such holiday in order to provide, where possible, for a long weekend. 9.3 Vacation and statutory holiday pay shall be ten percent (10%) of total earnings of an employee which shall be deemed to include the Employer's obligation to make similar payments covering vacation pay and statutory holiday pay by applicable Government Orders or Regulations. Where the applicable Governmental Orders or Regulations require payment in excess of the percentages provided for herein, payment shall be made in accordance with such Orders or Regulations. On each paycheque the employee will receive vacation pay in accordance with the applicable legislation and the balance of the employee's accruals will be regarded as statutory holiday pay.

OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY. 9.1 The work week A) Employees shall begin on Sunday be paid one and shall end Saturday. D) A minimum of two hours work shall be granted for all call-in work at the rate of proper overtime rate. E) Police Operations Clerks will be paid time and one-half for court time appearances on their own time if they reimburse the straight City for any fees that they may receive as a result of such appearances. F) An employee may choose to take earned overtime in the form of compensatory time rateoff. All hours worked on Saturday shall be paid The amount of compensatory time off would equal the amount of overtime earned at the rate of it was earned (time and one-half half, double time, ect.) The Employer and the straight employee shall mutually agree to the granted time rate and all off. OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY. 9.1 A. Holiday Pay Rates Employees who are required to be on duty on holidays observed by the Board will receive premium pay. Employees shall receive holiday rates as follows: 1. For the Board recognized National holidays, listed in Article X, A, an Employee, who requests it, shall be granted the recognized holiday off when safety services activities permit. If the recognized holiday falls on a regular day off, the Employee shall be given time off as holiday pay on a day selected by the Employee within the 28-day work period in which the holiday falls, as safety services activities permit. Example: An Employee works Wednesday – Sunday. Labor Day falls on a Monday. The Employee shall be given a day to take as a holiday within a 28 day period, as safety services activities permit. If an Employee works on board recognized national holiday, the Employee shall be compensated two (2) times their regular hourly rate plus the Board-paid holiday rate and no time off will be given for working the recognized holiday. Example: Employee works Saturday – Wednesday. Labor Day falls on a Monday. If the Employee works, (2) times regular rate of pay will be paid plus Board-paid holiday. OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY. 9.1 A. Holiday Pay Rates Employees who are required to be on duty on holidays observed by the Board will receive premium pay. Employees shall receive holiday rates as follows: 1. For the Board recognized National holidays, listed in Article X, A, an Employee, who requests it, shall be granted the recognized holiday off when safety services activities permit. If the recognized holiday falls on a regular day off, the Employee shall be given time off as holiday pay on a day selected by the Employee within the 28-day work period in which the holiday falls, as safety services activities permit. Example: An Employee works Wednesday – Sunday. Labor Day falls on a Monday. The Employee shall be given a day to take as a holiday within a 28-day period, as safety services activities permit. If an Employee works on board recognized national holiday, the Employee shall be compensated two (2) times their regular hourly rate plus the Board-paid holiday rate and no time off will be given for working the recognized holiday. Example: Employee works Saturday – Wednesday. Labor Day falls on a Monday. If the Employee works, (2) times regular rate of pay will be paid plus Board-paid holiday. No other day will be given as time off. Otherwise, if the Employee does not work, holiday pay only will be paid. In cases where those working a Monday - Friday schedule are given a day off within a regular work week (e.g. July 4 falls on a weekend and a Monday is given as a day off) no holiday premium compensation will be given for working on these days (e.g. no holiday premium pay on Monday if work is performed on Monday). OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY. 9.1 The work week A) Employees shall begin on Sunday be paid one and shall end Saturday. All one-half 1.5 times their regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked by an employee in excess of eight (8) hours per shift and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week or in excess of their normally scheduled hours in a day or receive compensatory time for such hours as stated. E) Police Operations Clerks will be paid time and one-half for court time appearances on their own time if they reimburse the straight City for any fees that they may receive as a result of such appearances. F) An employee may choose to take earned overtime in the form of compensatory time rateoff. All hours worked on Saturday shall be paid The amount of compensatory time off would equal the amount of overtime earned at the rate of it was earned (time and one-half half, double time, ect.) The Employer and the straight employee shall mutually agree to the granted time rate and all off. An employee shall not accumulate more than one hundred sixty (160) hours worked on Sunday shall of compensatory time without the written approval of the Department Head. Compensatory time off will be paid to the employees throughout the fiscal year, upon request of the employee, in the amount of no less than 20 hours per request of the employee.
