OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY. (A) The work week shall begin Monday and shall end Sunday. All hours worked by an Employee in excess of eight (8) hours per day and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half the straight time rate. Work performed on Sundays shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half the straight time rate. After an Employee has worked more than sixteen (16) hours, he will be on double his straight-time rate for all hours worked (starting with the 17th hour for work). Employee will be paid double time for hours worked until the end of that shift. At the start of his next regular shift, the Employee will be paid time and one-half the straight time rate for hours worked until he is given at least an eight (8) hour break from work. After he has been given an eight (8) hour break from work he will revert to his applicable rate at the start of his next regular shift. Reporting time pay provisions will not apply when on overtime pay; however, Waiting Time as provided for in this Agreement will apply. Work performed on Christmas, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day and July 4 shall be paid for at double the straight time hourly rate; provided, however, that in the event one of the holidays hereinabove named occurs during the first forty hours of any work week, hours worked on such holidays shall not be counted in computing the forty hours after which the Employee is entitled to a rate of time and one-half the straight time rate. (B) All Holidays named in paragraph (A) above shall be observed on the day on which they occur.

If no work is performed on Monday, no pay other than waiting time to Journeymen and Helpers shall be required.

OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY. (A) The work week Employees shall begin Monday be paid one and shall end Sunday. All one-half (1.5) times their regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked by an Employee in excess of eight (8) hours per day and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week or in excess of their normally scheduled hours in a day or receive compensatory time for such hours as stated. Unless otherwise specified by the terms of this Agreement, employees shall be eligible for overtime only on the basis of actual hours worked for the Employer. Compensation shall not be paid twice for the same hours, nor shall there be pyramiding of overtime. B) All hours worked between midnight (12:00 a.m.) and 4:00 a.m. on regularly scheduled workdays will be paid at the one and one-half (1.5) times their regular straight time hourly rate of pay or earned as compensatory time. At 4:00 a.m. and after all hours continuously worked that day will be paid at straight time until the employee has actually worked over eight (8) consecutive hours. After eight (8) consecutive hours have been worked, all other hours worked that day will be paid at time and one-half (1.5) for overtime or comp time earned. C) Irrespective of whether or not an employee is required to work on the straight time rateday observed as a contract Holiday, they shall receive eight (8) hours of pay. Work performed In addition to the Holiday pay described herein, an employee who is requested to and works on Sundays the city-observed Holiday shall be paid for at the double (2) time their regular rate of pay for the hours worked or earned as compensatory time. When the actual Holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, with the city-observed Holiday being on a Friday or Monday, hours worked on those days will be paid as overtime or compensatory time at time and one-half (1.5) on Saturday or double (2) time on Sunday. D) Any and all work performed on Sundays outside the straight time employee's normally scheduled shift shall be compensated at double the employee's normal rate. After an Employee has worked more than sixteen (16. E) hours, he will A minimum of two hours work shall be on double his straight-time rate granted for all hours worked call-in work at the proper overtime rate. F) An employee may choose to take earned overtime in the form of compensatory time off. The amount of compensatory time off would equal the amount of overtime earned at the rate it was earned (starting with the 17th hour for work). Employee will be paid double time for hours worked until the end of that shift. At the start of his next regular shift, the Employee will be paid time and one-half or double time). The Employer and the straight employee shall mutually agree to the granted time rate off. An employee shall not accumulate more than one hundred sixty (160) hours of compensatory time without the written approval of the Department Head. Compensatory time off will be paid to the employees throughout the fiscal year, upon request of the employee , in the amount of no less than 20 hours per request of the employee. Employees will place the request in writing and submit such request for hours worked until he is given at least an eight (8) hour break from workpayment with their normal bi-weekly timesheet. After he has been given an eight (8) hour break from work he will revert to his applicable rate If compensatory time off remains unused at the start end of his next regular shifta fiscal year, the employee has one of two options: 1) to have all compensatory time reimbursed to the Employee in a lump sum at the rate earned, or 2) to have all but 40 hours compensatory time reimbursed to the Employee with the understanding that those 40 hours must be used by November 1st of that year or those hours will be paid out (at the rate earned) in the last November paycheck. Reporting time pay provisions If employees elect option 2, they will not apply when on overtime pay; however, Waiting Time as provided for place the request in this Agreement will apply. When working a 4- ten hour schedule, Friday may be used as a make up day due to inclement weather. C. All hours worked on Sundays Saturday and all hours worked on Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half the straight time hourly rate; provided, however, that Saturday shall be a make up day. After an Employee has worked more than sixteen (16) hoursIn the event that weather conditions or other conditions beyond the control of the Employer prevents or makes ill-advised the performance of work on any regular work day during the work week, he will be work performed on double his straight-time rate for all hours worked (starting with the 17th hour for work). Work performed on ChristmasChristmas Day, ThanksgivingThanksgiving Day, Labor Day, New Year’s 's Day, Memorial Day and July 4 Independence Day shall be paid for at double the straight time hourly rate; provided, however, that in the event .
