This provision also applies to employees in these four classifications that have elected to carry personal cell phones rather than City-issued phones. Employees designated in an employee’s regular permanent assignment requires the performance of duties in more than one job classification, the overtime rate to be used to calculate compensation for the employee for the overtime work on-call status shall be compensated as follows: Regular On-Call (Weekdays): $15.00/day Weekend days or City-published holidays: $20.00/day On-Call employees are expected to answer emergency calls immediately upon receipt. However, under unforeseen circumstances, on-call employees shall be granted 45 minutes to respond to emergency calls. If the rate of the classification which caused emergency call requires the employee to travel to a work such overtime hourssite location, the employee shall be provided a reasonable time to arrive at the work site location after the call is received. Overtime/Compensatory Time. A. Employees working assigned, pre-approved time 27.1 All authorized hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per an eligible employee’s normal work week shall be given either considered overtime work. Overtime/Compensatory Time. The College and the Union recognize that, by virtue of the composition of the bargaining unit, employees covered by this agreement are exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). C. All overtime worked must be submitted on a timesheet to the building principal in accordance with business office procedures for processing payroll. Requests for use of compensatory time off shall be submitted in writing to the building principal in accordance with business office procedures for processing payroll. X. Xx employee called in to work on his/her day off will be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours at the appropriate rate. E. The decision to assign overtime will not be based upon an employee’s preference for either compensatory time or overtime pay. F. In the event an employee’s regular permanent assignment requires the performance of duties in more than one job classification, the overtime rate to be used to calculate compensation for the employee for the overtime work shall be the rate of the classification which caused the employee to work such overtime hours.
