In the event of an emergency, the Chief of Police in his sole discretion shall provide for the necessary deployment of personnel notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement.

OVERTIME TIME CALL-OUT. It is the purpose of this section to provide a method of maintaining police coverage for the citizens of this City without undue hardship. In the event of an emergency, the Chief of Police in his sole discretion shall provide for the necessary deployment of personnel notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement. It is also meant to fill a patrolman's vacancy with a patrolman and command officer's vacancy with a command officer. However, when a shift or watch has no command officer on duty for three (3) or more hours only the first eligible a command officer shall be given the right of first refusal of overtime to fill the vacancy. Once the first eligible command officer has refused the overtime, then Article 49.01 regarding acting time applies. For the purpose of training, acting time may be utilized.

  • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Paid Time to Working Time Full-time employees absent on approved leave, paid by the Hospital or by the Workers' Compensation Board, shall for the purposes of computing overtime pay during the work schedule in which the absence occurred, be considered as having worked their regularly scheduled hours during such leave of absence. No pyramiding shall result from the application of this provision. The foregoing shall also apply in cases of short term leaves of absence for Union business approved by the Hospital under the applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement where payment is made to the employee by the Union.

  • Overtime Work A. Overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1½) times the basic hourly straight-time rate.

  • Overtime Lieu Time Where an employee has worked an accumulated approved overtime hours (other than overtime hours related to paid holidays) such employee shall have the option of electing payment at the applicable overtime rate or time off equivalent to the applicable overtime rate (i.e. where the applicable rate I time and one-half, then time off shall be at one and one-half times. Where an employee chooses the latter option, such time off must be taken within the succeeding two pay periods of the occurrence of the overtime at a time mutually agreeable to the Hospital and the employee, or payment in accordance with the former option shall be made. An employee shall not be required to take time off to avoid payment of overtime.

  • WORK CLOTHES The employer shall provide all necessary work clothes (coveralls, work shoes or equivalent, and insulated coveralls, winter coveralls and rain gear as needed), as well as safety equipment, including personal safety gear. Work clothes and safety gear provided by the company are the property of the company. When a new set of work clothes is provided, the worn set shall be handed in. Used safety equipment as mentioned above shall be properly cleaned before being reissued.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee.

  • Overtime/Compensatory Time Overtime shall be paid for all hours worked in excess of the regularly scheduled workday. Compensatory time may be earned, in lieu of overtime, for overtime hours or hours earned under 18.7 or 18.8 of this article. In no case will compensatory time be allowed, in lieu of overtime once the employee has reached the compensatory time limit in 18.10.

  • Overtime Meal Employees requested to work more than two (2) hours overtime after completion of their regular shift, will be given one-half (1/2) hour on Company time to eat their lunch and will be given seven dollars ($7.00) meal money.

  • Travel time allowance All employees shall be paid an allowance (See Appendix A) for each day on which they present themselves for work. The allowance shall also be paid for rostered days off.
