P O R T A N T. E & H O F This kind of research is multi-disciplinary relying on political science, social and behavioral science methods. It is based on the current health promotion approach, which is characterized by equal partnership and collaboration between academics, practitioners and policy makers – emphasizing the fact that real world policy making integrates research knowledge with practical know- how and contextual priorities and values – thus the term evidence- informed policy making.. EU Framework 7, Health Research, has awarded the Esbjerg-based Unit for Health Promotion Research at SDU 3 million Euros to lead and coordinate this project, which will study how best to base physical activity policy making on research evidence and at the same time take into account the realities of local, regional and national politics, resources and priorities. / E R A - E N V H E A L T H / N E W S F L A S H / I S S U E 2 1 , N O V - D E C 2 0 1 1 I N F O R M U S P L E A S E R E P O R T S P R O J E C T S O R M E E T I N G S , C O N T A C T S Coordinator of the ERA-ENVHEALTH project Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxxx ERA-ENVHEALTH project coordination European and International Affairs Unit ANSES Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation de l'environnement et du travail 00-00 xxxxxx xx Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxx 00000 Maisons-Alfort Cedex FRANCE xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxx@xxxxx.xx Communication and dissemination Xxxxx Xxxxxx ERA-ENVHEALTH project communication Federal Coordination Environment & Health Services of the President FPS Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxx 00, xxx 00 X-0000 Xxxxxxxx XXXXXXX
P O R T A N T. Due to the weight of the sink, we recommend only using a solid surface counter top. The opening should be professionally cut and finished to the model of sink you are installing. Do not install sink in a counter top with any cracks, even if minor. Only install in a counter top made for the installation of an undermount type sink. BEFORE STARTING  Inform yourself of all local building and plumbing codes.  Check new sink for damage.  Carefully read all instructions.  Make sure that you have all the necessary parts and tools. Note: If existing sink assembly does not have shutoff valves, install prior to installing the sink. Shut off water supply before starting. GETTING READY
P O R T A N T. Do not drill holes into the sink or modify the sink in any way. Sink must be epoxy glued to the counter top using full strength epoxy. Epoxy should only be used at temperatures above 15°C (60°F). DO NOT use 5 minute epoxy, other types of adhesives, silicone or other types of caulking to attach the sink to the counter top.  Counter top should have opening pre-cut and finished at this time. Verify if the opening fits the sink. Make certain that the counter top underside is perfectly clean, free of dust and dry.  Lay the counter top inverted (polished side down) on a sturdy, flat and smooth surface covered with a protective multi-layer of newspaper or cardboard.  Verify and identify the front edge of the counter, positioning the front edge towards you. Position and center sink inverted on counter top. Make sure the front of the sink is facing the front of the counter top. Trace the outline of the sink on the counter top. This line serves to show the permanent position of the sink.  Remove the sink and confirm the sink was correctly centered. If the sink was not correctly centered, reposition the sink and redraw the line.  Verify that all surfaces (rim of sink and underside of counter top around opening) where there will be epoxy and silicone caulking are clean, dry, free of dust, grease or other contaminants.  Mix epoxy resin and hardener as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Wear appropriate protective gloves and eye protection. Thorough mixing is very important. Epoxy should be a uniform color when mixed. Be certain to prepare an adequate quantity. ATTACHING THE SINK  Using care, apply an even bead of mixed epoxy (approx. 1/16” or 2mm thick) to cover the unglazed area of the sink’s rim. Thoroughly clean any spilled or excess epoxy using nail polish remover or acetone. Follow manufacturer’s instructions.  Invert sink and very carefully position it so it is perfectly centered over the opening of the counter top. Verify that the sink’s front is facing the front of the counter top.  Gently press sink down to ensure full and even contact. Remove any unwanted or excess epoxy from any areas where it may be visible.  Allow sink to bond 24 hours before continuing. CAULKING SEAL  Carefully invert the counter top so it is now upright, setting it into place on the vanity base.  Using a silicone caulking, carefully seal the area between the edge of the counter top opening and the sink. Silicone should be clear or a color similar to the sink. When finished,...
