Part-Time Academic Employee Sick Leave Deductions. All leaves described herein must be reported on the appropriate forms. For computing sick leave, one hour of sick leave will be taken for every 50 minutes of class missed. Only missed scheduled activities will be submitted as leave. These activities include but are not limited to classes, meetings, advising hours, and office hours. Leave usage will be deducted first from the compensable account. When that account is exhausted, leave will then be deducted from the non-compensable account.

Part-Time Academic Employee Sick Leave Deductions. When a part-time academic faculty is absent from a class session, a deduction of two (2) hours for each missed hour will be taken from the sick leave balance. Part-time counselors and librarians and part-time employees governed by Appendix B will deduct one (1) hour for each hour of work missed. Daily deduction will not exceed eight (8) hours. Leave usage will be deducted first from the compensable account. When that account is exhausted, leave will then be deducted from the non-compensable account.
