Sick Leave Balance i. To be eligible to convert accrued sick leave hours, employees must have a sick leave conversion balance of at least thirty (30) days on September 1st of the fiscal year of conversion.
ii. Employees must enroll annually to participate in the Career Transition Trust. If the employee’s sick leave conversion balance drops below the eligibility minimum of thirty (30) days, the employee’s participation is suspended until the employee reaches the minimum of thirty (30) days sick leave conversion required for eligibility and participation.
Sick Leave Balance. Once each academic year, each faculty member shall receive from the Employer a statement of the faculty member’s balance of unused sick leave accumulations. The Employer’s obligation can be satisfied by providing an electronic means of accessing the faculty member’s current sick leave balance.
Sick Leave Balance. To be eligible to convert accrued sick leave hours, Educational Support Professionals must have a sick leave balance of at least 300 hours on January 1st of any given year.
Sick Leave Balance. Employees in MAAS, MACA, and AMP who are recalled or rehired into XXXX, MACA or AMP during the recall period shall have their sick leave balance at the time of layoff restored, unless the balance has been previously paid out or used.
Sick Leave Balance. Teachers assigned to provide in-person services, have access to a pool of sick leave for a positive Covid- 19 diagnosis contracted at the workplace. Accessing this pool requires: • the employee has exhausted supplementary paid leave options. • submission of a positive diagnosis will be required from a qualified physician or medical organization. • attestation that Covid-19 was contacted in the workplace. The initial pool will consist of 100 days districtwide. The District Labor Management Team will evaluate the remaining assets of this pool on a monthly basis.
Sick Leave Balance. The use of the 100% cash value sick leave may be granted by the District as provided in Section 28.A. For the purposes of cash value, sick leave balances shall be determined to be those balances in effect on July 6, 2013 (end of pay period). This balance shall be available for use, or, on separation from the District for conversion to cash payout or payment into the District’s deferred compensation plan, based on the employee’s hourly rate at the time of separation. Additionally, any such balance can be used for service credit as allowed by the CalPERS contract in effect at the time.

Sick Leave Balance. 1. The balance in the sick leave conversion account is equal to the teacher's current accrued sick leave added to any days previously converted.
2. To be eligible to convert accrued sick leave the teacher must have a sick leave balance of at least ninety (90) days being carried forward from the prior teaching year to the school year that the conversion will be made, except for teachers who meet the eligibility requirements in Subd. 3, a., 4.
3. Teachers must enroll annually to participate in Career Transition Trust.
4. To be eligible for a one-time (1) only option to convert accrued sick leave days, as provided in Subd. 4b.1 of this article, the teacher must be beginning their "seventh” (7th), eighth (8th), or ninth (9th) year of service and have a sick leave balance in their account of at least fifty (50) days being carried forward from the prior teaching year to the school year that the conversion will be made.
5. Effective July 1, 1999 and thereafter, teachers taking parenting leave shall have their sick leave conversion account balance reduced at the rate of one (1) day for every two (2) days of parenting leave when determining the teacher's eligibility to participate in the Career Transition Trust benefit.
6. Effective July 1, 1999, and thereafter, teachers using sick leave days for religious observances under VIII shall not have their sick leave conversion account balance reduced when determining the teacher's eligibility to participate in the Career Transition Trust benefit.
7. Teachers who resign and subsequently are reemployed by the District are not credited with their previous sick leave accrual balance.
Sick Leave Balance. Each Member’s bi-weekly electronic pay stub shall indicate the year-to-date balance remaining in their 11-day sick leave plan as of the end of the pay period noted. Each Member may review their usage of sick leave electronically.
