Common use of Part-Time Status Clause in Contracts

Part-Time Status. A part-time employee is one who works fewer hours than those set out above. Seniority for part-time employees shall be defined as length of continuous service with the Employer in the bargaining unit. When two (2) or more employees are hired into the same job classification on the same date in the same Agreement area, the Employer shall designate the relative seniority on the date of hire.
