Pavement General Sample Clauses

Pavement General. ‌ This Section 7.0 covers the design and construction of pavement. Design-Build Contractor shall conduct all Work necessary to meet the requirements associated with this Section 7.0. For purposes of this Section 7.0, the word “lanes” shall mean all travel lanes, auxiliary lanes, passing lanes, deceleration lanes, and any other pavement on which traffic may normally travel. The word “shoulders” shall mean inside and outside shoulders and xxxx areas. Ramps shall be considered to start at the theoretical back of xxxx. Design-Build Contractor shall design pavement structural layers for all new roadways within the Project Limits with no reduction of, or restrictions to allowable legal load limits and to accommodate oversized/overweight vehicles permitted to use the Project. Materials for roadway pavement surfaces may be hot-mixed asphalt (HMA) or Portland cement concrete (PCC). The pavement design shall provide for positive drainage of subgrade and subbase materials from under the pavement. The Design-Build Contractor shall provide a consistent pavement type throughout each roadway element. Each roadway element shall be defined as a discreet segment, such as an entire ramp, a section of roadway between two pavement termini, or other logical limits. Safety edge shall be provided in accordance with INDOT Design Memorandum 15-02. After milling the existing pavement surface any visible crack which is ¼” wide or wider shall be cleaned and sealed. Cracks shall be cleaned by blowing with compressed air or by other suitable means. Asphalt material shall be placed utilizing a wand tip that allows fills the opening without penetration into the cracks. The opening of the cracks shall be filled or overbanded slightly but not to exceed the space created by the milling. All excess asphalt material shall be removed from the pavement. The sealed cracks shall be covered with sufficient fine aggregate or other suitable material to prevent tracking of the asphalt materials. All excess cover material shall be removed from the pavement within 24 hours, when directed. The material used to fill the crack shall be Asphalt Binder PG 64-22 in accordance with Standard Specifications. The Contract Price shall include all of the patching included in the Pavement Patching Allowance Tables included in the RID. Prior to any pavement rehabilitation, IFA and the Design-Build Contractor will jointly inspect the pavement and IFA will mark all areas to be patched partial depth or full depth. The D...

  • Infrastructure Vulnerability Scanning Supplier will scan its internal environments (e.g., servers, network devices, etc.) related to Deliverables monthly and external environments related to Deliverables weekly. Supplier will have a defined process to address any findings but will ensure that any high-risk vulnerabilities are addressed within 30 days.

  • Pavement Design If applicable, the Engineer shall incorporate the pavement design developed by the State for this project. If the pavement design is not available, the State may request the Engineer to perform pavement design and submit to State for review and approval.

  • Non-Synchronous Generation The Interconnection Customer shall design its Small Generating Facility to maintain a composite power delivery at continuous rated power output at the high-side of the generator substation at a power factor within the range of 0.95 leading to 0.95 lagging, unless the NYISO or the Transmission Owner in whose Transmission District the Small Generating Facility interconnects has established a different power factor range that applies to all similarly situated non-synchronous generators in the control area or Transmission District (as applicable) on a comparable basis, in accordance with Good Utility Practice. This power factor range standard shall be dynamic and can be met using, for example, power electronics designed to supply this level of reactive capability (taking into account any limitations due to voltage level, real power output, etc.) or fixed and switched capacitors, or a combination of the two. This requirement shall only apply to newly interconnecting non-synchronous generators that have not yet executed a Facilities Study Agreement as of September 21, 2016.

  • Synchronous Generation The Interconnection Customer shall design its Small Generating Facility to maintain a composite power delivery at continuous rated power output at the Point of Interconnection at a power factor within the range of 0.95 leading to 0.95 lagging, unless the NYISO or the Transmission Owner in whose Transmission District the Small Generating Facility interconnects has established different requirements that apply to all similarly situated generators in the New York Control Area or Transmission District (as applicable) on a comparable basis, in accordance with Good Utility Practice.
