Pay for Temporary Work in a Higher Class. 6 If an employee is required to perform the duties of a higher classification than that 7 of his/her regular assignment for a period of more than three (3) full days within a 8 fiscal year, the employee shall be paid for the fourth and subsequent days on the 9 range of the higher classification and at a step on the range that is at least five 10 percent (5%) above the employee's regular base salary, but not higher than the top 11 of the range. However, in no event shall an employee working in the higher 12 classification receive less than five percent (5%) above the employee’s regular 13 rate of pay after working in the higher class for three (3) full days or more.
