Payment for Accumulated Sick Leave at Retirement. At retirement, a Command Officer who has accumulated 50 or more days sick leave may convert one-third of all accumulated sick leave days in excess of 50 days and up through 260 days for a lump sum payment. This provision does not apply to service separations other than retirement.
