Sick Leave at Retirement. Upon the retirement, death, or departure from the Xxxxxxx School System of any employee covered by this Agreement, if such employee has an accumulated sick leave balance, the employee shall be granted pay for such accumulation at a rate of full day's pay for each day of accumulated sick leave, not to exceed fifty (50) days pay, plus an additional fifty percent (50%) of the daily rate for days over and above the first fifty (50) days pay not to exceed a total of one hundred twenty-five (125) days. A full day’s pay and daily rate are defined as an individual’s hourly rate of pay, without longevity, multiplied by the number of hours worked per day. Any employee covered by this agreement will notify the Superintendent by December 31st of the year prior to the fiscal year when this money is to be paid. Employees hired after June 30, 1993, are not eligible for this provision.
Sick Leave at Retirement. Upon retirement, the Superintendent shall be entitled to payment for accumulated unused sick leave days in the amount of eighty dollars ($80.00) per day. In no event shall the total payment for such time exceed fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000). It is agreed and understood that in the event that the Superintendent separates from the service of the district for any reason other than retirement, the Superintendent shall not be paid for any accumulated sick leave. Sick Leave at Retirement. CITY shall continue to provide that unused accumulated sick leave shall be credited as time in service at the time of retirement. Employee eligibility and the credit formula for this benefit shall be pursuant to California Government Code Section 20965. If the employee has reached the maximum retirement benefit, then the City agrees to pay the employee for half of their remaining accrued sick leave as set forth in Section 12.8.
Sick Leave at Retirement. An employee retiring will be allowed to credit unused sick leave to their seniority for pension purposes in accordance with the applicable MePERS rules.
Sick Leave at Retirement. A. After twenty (20) years of service in Red Bank, accumulated sick leave shall be reimbursed, upon retirement, at the daily rate of $27.50 for an employee holding a degree and $15.00 per day for an employee without a degree.
B. It shall be understood that the daily rate will be prorated to the degree date, i.e., if an employee works in the district twenty (20) years, ten (10) of which was an employee without a degree, ten (10) years of the retirement stipend will be subject to non-degree status.
Sick Leave at Retirement. Any employee who was hired on or before 7/1/88, and who retires from the City of Flint as provided in the Retirement Ordinance shall be compensated in cash for any accumulated unused sick leave up to 480 hours plus onehalf pay for each hour of unused sick leave in excess of 480 hours. Any employee hired after 7/1/88, who retires from the City of Flint as provided in the Retirement Ordinance shall be compensated in cash for one—half pay for each hour of unused sick leave time. Any employee who is a member of the bargaining unit as of August 20, 1987, and who retires from the City of Flint as provided in the Retirement Ordinance shall also be paid one—half pay for each hour of unused sick leave between 480 hours and 960 hours, provided said sick leave shall be paid after the employee retires (within 60 days) and shall not be included as part of the employee’s final average compensation for the purpose of computing retirement benefits. Notwithstanding the above, for any employee hired after January, 1978, said sick leave shall be paid after the employee retires (within 60 days) and shall not be included as part of the employee’s final average compensation for the purpose of computing retirement benefits.
Sick Leave at Retirement. Employees who retire or resign, in good standing, shall upon separate from service receive compensation for 35 percent of all sick leave days accrued and unused in excess of 120 days up to 180 days, payable at the employee’s regular straight-time rate of pay. (Example: 180 days minus 120 = 60 days; 60 days times 35% = 21 days’ pay).
Sick Leave at Retirement. Administrators retiring from the District with twelve (12) years of service in the Upper Township Schools shall receive the sum of $50.00 per day times their accumulated unused sick leave days accrued during their employment in the District, up to a maximum of *(one hundred (100))* *one hundred forty-five (145)* days, or a maximum of *($5,000.00)* *$7,250.00* for contract year *(2003-2004)* *2006-2007*. During contract year *(2004-2005)* *2007-2008*, Administrators shall receive $50.00 per day for a maximum of *(one hundred twenty (120))* *one hundred fifty (150)* days, or a maximum of *($6,000.00)* *$7,500.00*; and during contract year *(2005-2006)* *2008-2009*, Administrators shall receive $50.00 per day for a maximum of *(one hundred forty (140))* *one hundred sixty (160) days, or a maximum of *($7,000.00)* *$8,000.00*.
Sick Leave at Retirement. Employees retiring from the City service, under provisions of a City-sponsored retirement plan, shall receive pay for twenty-five percent (25%) of their accumulated sick leave credit not to exceed two thousand seven hundred dollars ($2,700). Such pay shall be computed at the rate of pay on the date of retirement. The City has amended its contract with PERS to provide credit for unused sick leave, pursuant to Government Code Section 20965. An employee may choose to take the cash out option as stated above or the unit member may utilize the unused sick leave credit with PERS. No unit member shall be entitled to take both the cash out option and the PERS credit for unused sick leave.
Sick Leave at Retirement. CITY agrees, at no cost to employees, to provide that unused accumulated sick leave shall be credited as time in service at the time of retirement. Employee eligibility and the credit formula for this benefit shall be in accordance with the current provisions of State law (Government Code Section 20965). If the employee has reached the maximum retirement benefit, then the CITY agrees to pay the employee for half of their accrued sick leave at the time of retirement.
