Peer Assistance and Review Committee. A committee consisting of three (3) members chosen by the CPEA and three (3) members chosen by the Administration shall meet as a Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Committee. The PAR Committee shall study and recommend implementation of a pilot program during the 2008-09 school year for implementation during the 2009-10 school year. The program shall be designed to improve the performance of teachers in their first two years in the profession and to assist more senior teachers where serious concerns have been identified about their performance. The Committee shall submit its report and recommendation for implementation of the Pilot Program by April 1, 2009 to the CPEA President and the Superintendent. The Pilot Program shall be implemented for the 2009-10 school year at those buildings and with the number of teachers determined jointly by the President and Superintendent. From April 15 through May 15, 2010 the Committee shall be reconvened and perform a complete review of the Pilot Program. The Committee shall submit a written report of its findings regarding those aspects of the Pilot Program which were most successful in retaining quality teachers and improving teaching performance of junior and senior teachers and make recommendations on whether the Pilot Program should be continued, ended or modified for the 2010-11 and subsequent school years. If the program is to be continued upon approval of the CPEA Executive Committee and the Board of Education, the program shall become part of the negotiated agreement. RETURN TO TABLE OF CONTENTS

  • Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Consulting Teachers (CT) will be assigned to all new teachers with no prior teaching experience and tenured teachers rated ineffective on the qualitative measures at the end of the previous school year and recommended by the PAR Panel. Evaluations for Probationary and Ineffective Teachers:

  • Quality Assurance Program An employee shall be entitled to leave of absence without loss of earnings from her or his regularly scheduled working hours for the purpose of writing examinations required by the College of Nurses of Ontario arising out of the Quality Assurance Program.

  • Training Committee The parties to this Agreement may form a Training Committee. The Training Committee will be constituted by equal numbers of Employer nominees and ETU employee representatives and have a charter which clearly states its role and responsibilities. It shall monitor the clauses of this Agreement which relate to training and ensure all employees have equal access to training.

  • Review Committee A Committee of six members, three each from the Guild and shall be named. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be put before this Committee for resolution. When the Committee is unable to resolve an issue it is agreed that a third party will be named by mutual agreement of the parties to provide Arbitration for binding resolution. Failing such an appointment by the Committee either party may refer it to arbitration under Article of the Collective Agreement.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Section 1. The Employer agrees to provide to the Union the statistical and program evaluation information provided to management concerning Employee Assistance Program(s). Section 2. No information gathered by an Employee Assistance Program may be used to discipline an employee. Section 3. Employees shall be entitled to use accrued sick leave for participation in an Employee Assistance Program. Section 4. Each university will offer training to local Union Stewards on the Employee Assistance Program available in their university, on university time, where an Employee Assistance Program is available.

  • Employee Assistance Program Neither the fact of an employee's participation in an employee assistance program, nor information generated by participation in the program, shall be used as a reason for discipline under this Article, except for information relating to an employee's failure to participate in an employee assistance program consistent with the terms to which the employee and the University have agreed.

  • Dependent Care Assistance Program The County offers the option of enrolling in a Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) designed to qualify for tax savings under Section 129 of the Internal Revenue Code, but such savings are not guaranteed. The program allows employees to set aside up to five thousand dollars ($5,000) of annual salary (before taxes) per calendar year to pay for eligible dependent care (child and elder care) expenses. Any unused balance is forfeited and cannot be recovered by the employee.

  • Employee Assistance Programs Consistent with the University's Employee Assistance Program, employees participating in an employee assistance program who receive a notice of layoff may continue to participate in that program for a period of ninety (90) days following the layoff.

  • Volunteer Peer Assistants 1. Up to eight (8)

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.
