Penalties and Incentives. Should TRX fail to meet any of its obligations in delivery of Services and such failure causes harm to WORLDTRAVEL and/or its Customers, WORLDTRAVEL shall have the right to assess penalties and deduct the same from any invoices due and owing to TRX under the following circumstances only:
Penalties and Incentives. A conventional SLA contains service penalty schemes written in a way that penalises the NSP in case of Failures. Failures usually triggers penalties. Such penalties can be defined as a refund of a percentage of the monthly fee (permanent services) or of the total contract value (temporary services). Route meter reading rounds: If readings are late for whatever reason and cannot be used for CC&B automatic billing then no payment for the entire route will be made to the contractor. If route readings are incomplete and the Eskom billing clerk has not received any feedback on the missing readings from the field then a 25 % penalty will be deducted from the payment of the entire rounds’ price. If the meter reading round is 100% accurate and completed within the specified timeline, then Eskom will pay a 5% incentive bonus for the entire rounds’ price All incomplete readings where no reason was given for the meter not being read will be re-scheduled as special reads and the contractor will bear the costs thereof. Ad Hoc Route meter reading rounds: Clauses 1 and 2 of the above will be negotiated for the first two times thereafter the contractor should be familiar with the area and the clauses will be applied. If the meter reading round is 100% accurate and completed within the specified timeline, then Eskom will pay a 5% incentive bonus for the entire rounds’ price All incomplete readings where no reason was given for the meter not being read will be re-scheduled as special reads and the contractor will bear the costs thereof. Disconnection/Reconnections and all other Reading activities Contractor will not be paid for late, incomplete, inaccurate or poor quality work, which includes feedback. Eskom will re-schedule the task if the contractor has not completed an allocated task as per the prescribed Eskom specifications and timelines, the above will be completed at contractors own expense. Note: If for any reason the contractor cannot perform the task, timeous feedback from the field must be given to the Contractors’ Admin support. Eskom will then decide on the action to be taken. See scope of work for details. Eskom encourages the contractor to locate installations/customers that are consuming energy in the field but are not on the CC&B billing system. A monetary reward per successful CC&B update will be paid to the contractor.

Route meter readings round If the CONTRACTOR provides readings late and the readings cannot be used for ESKOM automatic billing, no payment will be made for the entire route. If readings are incomplete and the ESKOM Billing Assistant never received field feedback on the missing readings from the CONTRACTOR then each unread premise will be penalized with 25% of the unit price as per item description (Urban, rural or deep rural) which will be deducted from the payment. If a reading round is 100% accurate and completed within the specified timeline, then ESKOM will pay a 5% incentive bonus for the entire round’s price. All incomplete readings will be re-scheduled as special reads and the CONTRACTOR will bear the costs thereof. ESKOM is prepared to reward the CONTRACTOR to locate installations / customers that are consuming energy and are not on the ESKOM billing system. A monetary reward of R500.00 per successful update will be paid to the CONTRACTOR after the required information is received and verified by ESKOM. The cost incurred to check fraudulent actual reads received from the CONTRACTOR will be recovered from the CONTRACTOR on calculated actual costs.
