Permanent Afternoon Shift. Subject to the operational requirements of the business, the Company will have the capacity to introduce a permanent afternoon shift. If introduced, the permanent afternoon shift will involve work carried out during the afternoon starting between 1.00pm and 4.59pm. Employees will be rostered for 8 hours with half an hour unpaid break. Time worked will be paid at the rate of 115% based on the employee’s ordinary rate of pay.

Permanent Afternoon Shift. For the purpose of this clause permanent afternoon shift means any shift finishing after 6.00 pm and at or before 12.30am. If you are permanently rostered to work afternoon shift, you must be paid an afternoon shift allowance of 17.5%. Standard Night shift
Permanent Afternoon Shift. An employee who during a period of engagement on shift, works afternoon shift only; or remains on afternoon shift for a longer period than four consecutive weeks; or works on an afternoon shift which does not rotate or alternate with another shift or works day work so as to give such employee at least one third working time off afternoon shift in each shift cycle; shall, during such engagement, period or cycle, be paid at the rate of 20% more than ordinary hours on such afternoon shift

  • Afternoon Shift If a second shift is employed, the hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours of work between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 12:30 A.M. for which eight (8) hours will be paid and a shift premium of sixty-one cents (61¢) shall be added on to the classified hourly rate.

  • Permanent Layoff The calculation in determining the six (6) month duration of eligibility for an employer contribution begins on the date the employee is permanently laid off or accepts an appointment in lieu of layoff without a break in service with a lesser employer-paid insurance contribution than the employee was receiving in the appointment from which the layoff occurred and is no longer actively employed in the appointment from which the layoff occurred. In the event the employee, while on permanent or seasonal layoff, is rehired to any state job classification with a lesser employer-paid insurance contribution than the employee is receiving under the six (6) months of insurance continuation, the employee shall continue to receive the employer contribution toward the employer-paid insurance for the duration of the six (6) months. However, notwithstanding the paragraph above, in the event the employee successfully claims another state job in any agency and classification which is insurance eligible without a break in service, and is subsequently non-certified or involuntarily separated, the six (6) month duration for the employer contribution toward insurance benefits will begin at the time the employee is non-certified or otherwise involuntarily separated and is no longer actively employed by the Employer. In no event shall an extended benefit eligibility period be longer than a total of six (6) months. Further, an employee must be receiving an Employer Contribution under Section 3 (A) or (B) at the time of layoff in order to be eligible for the six (6) months continuation of insurance.

  • Rotating Shifts Nurses required to work rotating shifts (days, evenings and nights) shall be scheduled in such a way as to equitably as possible assign the rotation. This does not preclude a Nurse from being continuously assigned to an evening or night shift if the Nurse and the Employer mutually agree to such an arrangement.
