Common use of Personal/Carer’s Leave and Compassionate Leave Clause in Contracts

Personal/Carer’s Leave and Compassionate Leave. 56.1 This Agreement (under clause 49 ‘Leave Accrual') gives full effect to the NES entitlements to personal/carer's leave and compassionate leave. 56.2 Xxxxxxx will repatriate the Employee to their Home Port upon request, in the event of (a) Serious illness or death of a member of the Employee's immediate family; or (b) Serious family matters including domestic violence; or (c) Partner in labour. 56.3 An Employee’s immediate family means: (a) A spouse, de facto partner, child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of the Employee. (b) A child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of a spouse or de facto partner of the Employee. 56.4 Solstad will endeavour to fill the resulting vacancy as soon as reasonably practicable.
