Preference in Appointments. It is the intent of the Parties that preference in appointments to the Company's job vacancies under Union jurisdictions, shall be given to CUPE LOCAL 7000 members presently on the Company's staff, in this order: (a) Regular employees and temporary employees with one (1) year's accredited service in the two (2) years immediately preceding the job vacancy; (b) Full-time/part-time temporary employees with less than one (1) year of service. If at any time the Union is of the opinion that such preference has not been given, and the Company selects from outside the bargaining unit, the Union shall have the right to grieve such selection.
