Preventative Maintenance Inspections. At such times during the regular business hours of Contractor as may be convenient for Customer, reasonable, periodic inspections of the Equipment will be carried out by Contractor without charge for the purpose of testing, cleaning, lubricating and adjusting the Equipment, checking its performance, replacing unserviceable parts and taking such other actions as may be deemed necessary by Contractor to maintain the Equipment in good operating condition. Preventative maintenance service may be performed concurrently with remedial services. All parts furnished by Contractor, except those excluded in Section 3, must be provided on an exchange basis, and must be new or warranted equivalent to new in performance when used in the Equipment. All parts removed for replacement will become the property of Contractor.

Preventative Maintenance Inspections. All traffic signals shall receive at least one (1) minor preventative maintenance inspection, preferably two inspections, within a twelve (12) month period. At a minimum, minor pPreventative maintenance inspection shall includes verification that all detection is working, the signal is cycling properly, the ventilation system is functioning and filters are clean. The inspection report should note the location, date of inspection and any items noted. If the traffic signals do not receive at least one (1) minor preventative maintenance inspection during a twelve (12) month period, there shall be a 20% deduction of the annual compensation amount for the affected signal locations.

Pitney Xxxxx offers new machines that are products which are manufactured from new parts and which may contain some recycled raw materials, parts or components, including serviceable used parts, which are warranted the equivalent as new. In addition, new equipment is still in its original carton and has never been used, although it may have been tested at the manufacturer’s facility solely for the purpose of ensuring proper operation of machine or system integration. In addition, postage meters may not be new however, by Postal Regulation, Pitney Xxxxx is responsible to insure they are in proper working order.
