Common use of Pro-Rata Benefits Clause in Contracts

Pro-Rata Benefits. Paid sick leave and vacation benefits recited herein are predicated on an employee's working a full-time schedule on a basis of two thousand eighty (2,080) hours during the twelve (12) month period. Paid sick leave, Worker's Compensation leave of absence where benefits are being paid, for a period up to one year; paid leaves of absence, and vacation shall be considered as a day of work (8 hours). Any employee who is absent from work due to an unpaid leave of absence or layoff shall receive these benefits if otherwise eligible on a pro-rata or reduced basis which shall be ratio of two thousand eighty (2,080) hours worked, overtime included, but shall not exceed the amount provided herein. A. Part-time employees shall receive pro-rata vacation and sick hours based on hours worked. Part-time employees may purchase hospitalization insurance at group rates.
