Professional credentials and continuing education. Employees who hold certification requiring ongoing continuing education units (CEUs) shall be provided an educational allowance of five hundred dollars ($500) per employee per calendar year to be used for maintaining certification. This allowance may be used for registration and expense reimbursement for job-related educational programs approved in advance by the Hospital.

Professional credentials and continuing education. A. Employees who are required to have a license or certification, to keep their position at the Medical Center shall be given the opportunity to get the continuing education needed to maintain the credential. The Medical Center will provide an educational allowance of three hundred twenty-five dollars ($325) per employee per year to be used for registration and expense reimbursement for job-related educational programs approved in advance by the Medical Center. For Sleep Techs or Echocardiographers, with supervisor’s approval, may carry over one year’s allowance in order to apply six hundred fifty dollars ($650) the following year toward a specified educational program. Additionally, three (3) compensated educational days will be available for each employee each year.

  • Continuing Education 24.01 The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Education Reimbursement The County will provide education reimbursement for education costs incurred by regular employees who apply for such reimbursement in accordance with the policies and procedures governing the education reimbursement program. The maximum reimbursement shall be $1,500 per year.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend.
