Project Objective and Description Sample Clauses

Project Objective and Description. The objective of the Project is to optimize supervisory control of the disinfection-dechlorination system so as to reduce the future possibility of discharging either partially-treated effluent or residual chlorine. The existing ATI model A15/79 units utilized on site are now unsupported and, given that they are utilized for dosing, leave the system vulnerable in the event of failure. The Project will provide the Beach Wastewater Treatment Facility (Facility) two new total residual chlorine analyzers and two new sulfite analyzers, and integrate the new analyzers into the existing SCADA control system. The new equipment and upgraded control system will allow more accurate measurement and dosing control, and will increase reliability. The project includes the following components: a. Replace the existing ATI A15/79 units with two new chlorine and two new sulfite analyzers. The current units have surpassed their service life and are no longer supported. They are also linked to the dosing system and affect compliance. The Project will replace these units with new equipment that provides more accurate measurement and therefore more accurate dosing. Estimated cost: $56,250. b. SCADA integration and programming. The new analyzers will be integrated into the SCADA chemical dosing instrumentation scheme, and the control system will be consolidated into a user-friendly interface on a single screen. Estimated cost: $4,860. c. Start-up, commissioning, and field calibration of all new analytical instrumentation. The installer will supply chemical reagents and ensure calibration of all new equipment in the field in order to confirm and certify proper performance. Estimated cost: $2,090. Individual task cost estimates are provided in the table below. Table 1. Estimated Costs: Compliance Project Components Compliance Project Component Estimated Cost ($) Total Estimated Project Cost: $63,200

Project Objective and Description. 1.1.1 The City of Fishers is the “Owner”. Xxxxx Xxxxx, Inc., is the “Design Engineerof the Work. 1.1.2 The Owner’s primary objective for the Xxxxx Creek Pump Base Replacement project is to replace all three existing pump base elbows to eliminate or prevent leaking at the pump/base mating flanges. A secondary objective is to inspect the wet well, identify areas needing rehabilitation, and make repairs while the flow to the lift station is diverted. 1.1.3 The Work will take place at the Xxxxx Creek Lift Station located within the Owner’s Parks Department facility at 0000 Xxxxxxxx Xxx, Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx 00000. The lift station is situated in the northwest corner of the facility. 1.1.4 The Work involves extensive confined-space activity within an existing sanitary sewage pumping facility wet well. It will include bypass pumping, pressure washing and cleaning, possible removal of grout or concrete, pump base elbow removal and replacement, and possible other wet well rehabilitation to be identified during construction.
Project Objective and Description. The objective of the Aeration Basin Diffuser Membrane Replacement and Ultraviolet Light Disinfection System Improvements Project is to reduce effluent ammonia nitrogen and total coliform and thereby prevent future exceedances of effluent limitations. The project will include the following components:
Project Objective and Description. The objective of the Project is to avoid impacts to the biological treatment system at the Beach Wastewater Treatment Facility (Facility) caused by influent to the Facility with abnormal characteristics (e.g., atypical pH, cleaning agents, petroleum-related discharges) and which result in Facility upset and discharges of partially treated effluent to the Sacramento River. The project will provide early detection of Facility influent with pH characteristics outside the operating parameters of the Facility, and provide capability to divert such influent before it reaches the biological treatment system. These steps will preserve the integrity of the biological treatment system reduce the possibility of discharging partially treated wastewater. Since cleaning agents and petroleum products can have high or low pH, depending on additives and applicable uses, the Project will provide some protection from cleaning agents and petroleum products in Facility influent that also have high or low pH. The project includes the following components: a. Install pH sensor in the primary effluent channel and integrate into SCADA. Currently the effluent channel from the primary clarifiers does not have a continuous pH sensor. The new sensor will be integrated into the existing annunciator and auto dialer, which will notify operators when pH in the primary clarifier effluent exceeds the Facility’s operating parameters. This will allow operators to implement emergency diversion options at the Facility to prevent impacts to the biological treatment process. Estimated cost: $32,392. b. Install a pH sensor at the Marina Lift Station. Currently there is no continuous pH sensor at this lift station. This sensor will be integrated into the SCADA system so that an alarm will notify personnel in the event that pH is outside appropriate parameters. The estimated travel time of wastewater from the Marina lift station to the Facility is approximately 30 minutes during dry weather conditions. Therefore, notification of a pH excursion at the Marina lift station may provide operators with time to implement emergency diversion options to prevent impacts to the biological treatment process. Estimated cost: $35,196. c. Install a pH sensor at the City Hall Lift Station. There is no continuous pH sensor currently at this lift station. This sensor will be integrated into the SCADA system so that an alarm will notify personnel in the event that pH is outside appropriate parameters. The estimated tr...

  • Project Objective The Parties will jointly develop the Project Objective based upon the Owner’s requirements, goals, and constraints. The Project Objective is comprised of the Base Program, Target Cost, Added Value Incentive Items, Implementation Documents, and Contract Time, and any other objectives agreed by the Parties. The Project Objective establishes the Project requirements and standards for measuring the Project’s success. The various components of the Project Objective may be incorporated into the Agreement through Amendment upon recommendation of the Project Management Team and approval of the Senior Management Team.

  • Project Description In two or three brief sentences, provide a concise description of your exhibition. Include the subject matter, type of objects to be included (paintings, sculpture, manuscripts, etc.), those responsible for organizing the exhibition, and catalogue author(s).

  • Project Summary The main objective of the LIFE GAIA Sense project is to demonstrate gaiasense, an innovative “Smart Farming” (SF) solution that aims at reducing the consumption of natural resources, as a way to protect the environment and support Circular Economy (CE) models. More specifically, this project will launch 18 demonstrators across Greece, Spain and Portugal covering 9 crops (olives, peaches, cotton, pistachio, potatoes, table tomatoes, industrial tomatoes, grapes, kiwi) in various terrain and microclimatic conditions. They will demonstrate an innovative method, based on high-end technology, which is suitable for being replicated and will be accessible and affordable to Farmers either as individuals or collectively through Agricultural Cooperatives. Moreover, LIFE GAIA Sense aims to promote resource efficiency practices in SMEs of the agricultural sector and eventually, contribute to the implementation of the Roadmap to a Resource Efficient Europe. This project will demonstrate a method on how the farmer will be able to decide either to use or avoid inputs (irrigation, fertilizers, pesticides etc.) in a most efficient way, without risking the annual production. The focus is on the resource consumption reduction side of CE, and the results will be both qualitatively and quantitatively, considering the resources’ efficiency in agricultural sector.
