Protective Clothing. 24.1 This Article shall apply to all Employees in job classifications set forth in the collective agreement between Local 5167 and the City, who are currently entitled to such safety apparel, clothing and footwear. The City agrees that where safety equipment and protective clothing are required to be worn by Employees it will supply those Employees with such apparel. Where the Employer requires a uniform, it will supply Employees with such uniform. (a) When required by the Employer, employees shall be provided: (i) safety glasses and prescription safety glasses, where required. (ii) hearing/ear protection (noise control). (iii) rubber gloves. (b) Those Employees in the Print Service Section, the Microfilm Facilities Section, Child Care Centres, or providing cooking, housekeeping or cleaning services shall be provided coveralls or smocks when requested . (c) The Employer will make available at all work locations of Facilities/Property and Maintenance Employees, a sufficient number of all-weather coats for the use of these Employees if they are required in the course of their duties to work outside in inclement weather. 24.3 This article outlines the default clothing provided. The parties may negotiate alternate entitlements at the appropriate Labour Management Committee. (a) All Employees that fall within the scope of “Outside Workgroup” shall be issued the following clothing within 30 days of the date of hire: (i) 1 pair of leather and cotton gloves (ii) 1 insulated winter coveralls, either standard issue or safety issue (iii) 1 pair of rain pants or leggings (iv) 1 safety helmet with liner (v) 1 safety vest (vi) 1 rain jacket

Protective Clothing. 24.1 This Article (a) Where such is required by the Employer in accordance with safety regulations, protective clothing, safety hats and other safety equipment, such as goggles, aprons and gloves shall apply to all be provided free of charge. (b) Employees in job classifications set forth in the collective agreement between Local 5167 and the City, who are currently entitled to such safety apparel, clothing and footwear. Where the Employer requires a uniformwill receive the allowance described above at the time the employees accumulate twelve (12) months of service from the date these boots were issued, it will supply Employees with such uniformor three seasons, whichever is sooner, in the case of seasonal employees. (a) When required Where uniforms, protective clothing or clothing allowances are currently being provided by the Employer, employees the present practice shall be provided: (i) safety glasses and prescription safety glasses, where required. (b) Those Employees in the Print Service Section, the Microfilm Facilities Section, Child Care Centres, or providing cooking, housekeeping or cleaning services Bunnings shall provide free of charge to team members where appropriate safety boots/shoes. Such boots/shoes shall be provided coveralls or smocks replaced from time to time when requested they wear out. The wearing of such supplied footwear will be a condition of employment except in relation to team members who are unable to wear such footwear for medical reasons and who produce a medical certificate of the fact. Any person who leaves the employment within three months of such issue will be charged half the cost of the footwear so provided. (c) The Employer Bunnings shall reimburse a team member who requires prescription lenses to be case hardened the amount necessary to have the prescription lenses case hardened. (d) Where a team member is performing manual tasks, such as the handling of timber, metal, cable or other materials, upon which would warrant the supply of protective gloves, such team members shall be supplied gloves by Bunnings free of charge. Protective gloves will make available at all work locations of Facilities/Property and Maintenance Employees, a sufficient number of all-weather coats for the use of these Employees not be supplied in circumstances where it would be hazardous if they were to be worn nor shall they be supplied in circumstances where Bunnings deems it inappropriate. (e) Team members required to work out in the sun shall be provided with protective head-gear. Bunnings will provide sunscreen to all team members who are required in the course to perform any or all of their duties to work outside in inclement weather. 24.3 This article outlines the default clothing provided. (af) All Employees that fall within the scope of “Outside Workgroup” Suitable protective clothing and/or accessories shall be issued provided to team members free of charge who are required to perform duties which may lead to excessive soiling or damage to clothing or instances where the following provision of such clothing within 30 days and/or accessories is necessary for Bunnings to meet its obligation to provide a safe work environment for team members. (g) Where such protective clothing, and/or accessories have been provided to a team member they shall be required to use such clothing and/or 'accessories at all times. If a team member is unwilling or refuses to use such clothing and/or accessories, they may be subject to counselling by Bunnings. (h) Items of the date of hire:protective clothing detailed in this clause shall be cleaned where appropriate by Bunnings at Bunnings expense. (i) 1 pair Bunnings will provide padded jackets on request to team members working in yards, external nurseries and drive throughs. These jackets must be returned at the end of leather and cotton gloves (ii) 1 insulated winter coveralls, either standard issue or safety issue (iii) 1 pair of rain pants or leggings (iv) 1 safety helmet with liner (v) 1 safety vest (vi) 1 rain jacketeach shift.

Protective Clothing. 24.1 This Article Upon commencement on the project, employees with more than 4 weeks employment will be issued with the following protective clothing, equipment and footwear: • One pair of approved safety footwear. • Three (3) pairs of standard issue long pants and three (3) standard-issue long sleeved shirts or three (3) pairs of long sleeved overalls. Shirts and overalls shall apply be “high visibility” in accordance with PWCS Project 3D requirements. • One hard hat (with substantial add-on shade ‘brim’) designating the employee’s employer and name. • Appropriate safety glasses (either tinted or non-tinted - employee choice). Employees with prescription glasses will be issued with monogoggles or have their prescription safety glasses to AS (medium impact) (employee choice). • Each employee on commencement of employment on site shall be eligible to be issued with one woollen "bluey" type warm jacket, which will be issued between 1 May and 1 September It is a condition of issue and of employment that the issued equipment shall be worn whilst on site. Replacement of issued equipment that is lost by the employee is the responsibility of the employee. An employee who resigns within three months of receiving the issue may have the pro-rata cost withheld from their final pay. Other than whilst in offices and crib sheds, hard hats and safety glasses must be worn at all times. Safety footwear must be worn at all times. Replacement of any articles shall be on the basis of fair wear and tear provided the worn out item is produced for replacement. (c) The Employer will make available at all work locations of Facilities/Property and Maintenance sanctioned by the Company if they cannot maintain the certification due to circumstances beyond their control. It is a condition of issue and of employment that the issued equipment shall be worn whilst on site. Replacement of issued equipment that is lost by the Employee is the responsibility of the Employee. An Employee who resigns within three months of receiving the issue may have the pro- rata cost withheld from their final pay. Other than whilst in offices and crib sheds, walking on designated PPE routes to project Sites from main gate or when in an area with no defined HAKK PPE requirements (e.g. canteen and bath house), hard hats and safety glasses must be worn at all times. Protective Clothing. 24.1 This Article 12.1. Should the EMPLOYEE be provided with protective clothing by the EMPLOYER, such protective clothing shall apply at all times remain the property of the EMPLOYER. 12.2. The EMPLOYEE agrees that the EMPLOYER shall deduct the value of the protective clothing from the EMPLOYEE’S Compensation as security for the return of the protective clothing to all Employees in job classifications set forth in the collective agreement between Local 5167 EMPLOYER. Protective Clothing. 24.1 This Article Articles of protective clothing are to be worn only when Employees are on duty; to and from work; and while on stand-by. The responsibility of maintaining protective and uniform articles rests with the Employee. Upon presentation of damaged protective articles and uniform articles, the Employer will replace lost or damaged protective articles and uniform articles, but if the loss or damage is wilful, the Employee may be subject to an assessed charge not to exceed the replacement cost of the lost or damaged article. Protective Clothing. 24.1 This Article shall apply 1. Foul Weather Clothing. The SFMTA agrees to provide one set of insulated rain gear, consisting of a pair of bib-overalls and a parka with a hood to all Employees employees working in job classifications set forth in the collective agreement between Local 5167 and the City, who are currently entitled to such safety apparel, clothing and footwear. Each employee in the aforementioned classification will receive one set of rain gear no later than October 31, 2001, and thereafter on an as needed basis to replace rain gear that has been damaged, or stolen. (f) The articles of clothing shall remain the property of the Employer and shall be issued only to those employees qualified in this Section. The employee is required to use reasonable precaution in the use of said garments and shall be responsible for loss or destruction of same directly attributable to any act of negligence on the employee’s part. (g) Where uniforms or articles of clothing are mandatory by the WorkSafeBC or by Municipal request, the Employer shall supply, maintain and clean, provided however that footwear shall only be supplied at the arena and incinerator operations if and when required. (h) Effective May 20, 2015, the Employer will reimburse an employee for fifty five percent (55%) of the cost of one (1) pair of safety footwear, rubber boots and raingear, per calendar year, provided it is required on the job. Protective Clothing. 24.1 This Article shall apply to all Employees in job classifications set forth in the collective agreement between Local 5167 and the City, who are currently entitled to such safety apparel, clothing and footwear. The City agrees that where safety equipment and protective clothing are required to be worn by Employees it will supply those Employees with such apparel. Where the Employer requires a uniform, it will supply Employees with such uniform. (a) When If a team member is required to work in the rain the team member shall be provided free of charge with oil skins or suitable waterproof clothing and, upon request by the Employerteam member, employees shall be provided: (i) safety glasses and prescription safety glasses, where required. (ii) hearing/ear protection (noise control). (iii) rubber gloves. (iv) 1 pair of rubber boots or overshoes. (v) lined rubber gloves (winter issue). As the case may warrant, where prescription safety glasses are broken or damaged at work the Employee shall first seek reimbursement through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. If the WSIB fails to cover all or part of the prescription safety glasses replacement costs the City will reimburse the Employee the applicable amountwith suitable wet weather footwear. (b) Those Employees in the Print Service Section, the Microfilm Facilities Section, Child Care Centres, or providing cooking, housekeeping or cleaning services Bunnings shall provide free of charge to team members where appropriate safety boots/shoes. Such boots/shoes shall be provided coveralls or smocks replaced from time to time when requested they wear out. The wearing of such supplied footwear will be a condition of employment except in relation to team members who are unable to wear such footwear for medical reasons and who produce a medical certificate of the fact. Any person who leaves the employment within three months of such issue will be charged half the cost of the footwear so provided. (c) The Employer Bunnings shall reimburse a team member who requires prescription lenses to be case hardened the amount necessary to have the prescription lenses case hardened. (d) Where a team member is performing manual tasks, such as the handling of timber, metal, cable or other materials, upon which would warrant the supply of protective gloves, such team members shall be supplied gloves by Bunnings free of charge. Protective gloves will make available at all work locations of Facilities/Property and Maintenance Employees, a sufficient number of all-weather coats for the use of these Employees not be supplied in circumstances where it would be hazardous if they were to be worn nor shall they be supplied in circumstances where Bunnings deems it inappropriate. (e) Team members required to work out in the sun shall be provided with protective head-gear. Bunnings will provide sunscreen to all team members who are required in the course to perform any or all of their duties to work outside in inclement weather. 24.3 This article outlines the default clothing provided. The parties may negotiate alternate entitlements at the appropriate Labour Management Committeeoutdoors. (af) All Employees that fall within the scope of “Outside Workgroup” Suitable protective clothing and/or accessories shall be issued provided to team members free of charge who are required to perform duties which may lead to excessive soiling or damage to clothing or instances where the following provision of such clothing within 30 days and/or accessories is necessary for Bunnings to meet its obligation to provide a safe work environment for team members. (g) Where such protective clothing, and/or accessories have been provided to a team member they shall be required to use such clothing and/or ‘accessories at all times. If a team member is unwilling or refuses to use such clothing and/or accessories, they may be subject to counselling by Bunnings. (h) Items of the date of hire:protective clothing detailed in this clause shall be cleaned where appropriate by Bunnings at Bunnings expense. (i) 1 pair Bunnings will provide padded jackets on request to team members working in yards, external nurseries and drive throughs. These jackets must be returned at the end of leather and cotton gloves (ii) 1 insulated winter coveralls, either standard issue or safety issue (iii) 1 pair of rain pants or leggings (iv) 1 safety helmet with liner (v) 1 safety vest (vi) 1 rain jacketeach shift.
