Public Service Leave. An employee who is elected or appointed to public office shall be entitled to a leave of absence without pay not to exceed 180 days per year in accordance with state law.
Public Service Leave. A faculty member who is elected or appointed to public office shall be entitled to a leave of absence without pay not to exceed 180 days per year in accordance with Mont. Code Xxx. § 2-18-620.
Public Service Leave. (a) An employee, other than an employee on leave of absence without pay or under suspension, will be granted leave with pay:
Public Service Leave. A teacher, upon annual application as provided in 21.4, may be granted a leave of absence without pay for the duration of the elected term(s) to serve in public office. Upon return from such leave, the teacher shall be offered a position in the District for which he/she is certified and qualified.
Public Service Leave. An employee who is elected to a municipal, county, state or federal office shall be entitled to an unpaid leave of absence pursuant to Chapter 55 of the Code of Iowa.
Public Service Leave. The District shall grant leave without pay to any employee who has been elected to a local, state, or national governmental office. Upon return to the District, the employee shall be assigned the same position. In the event such notice is not given or that the employee's position has been eliminated, she/he shall be returned to a position of like nature and status. The employee shall retain all seniority but shall not accrue benefits and salary increments.
Public Service Leave. In accordance with 39-2-104, MCA, faculty members who are elected or appointed to a public office in the city, county, or state shall be eligible for leaves of absence, not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days per year, while they are performing public service. Employees, upon complying with the requirements below, shall be restored to their positions, with the same seniority, status, compensation, hours, locality, and benefits as existed immediately prior to their leaves of absence for public service:
Public Service Leave. A non-probationary contract employee, upon annual application, may be granted a leave of absence without pay for the duration of the elected term(s) to serve in public office. Upon return from such leave, the employee shall be offered a position in the District for which he/she is certified and qualified.
Public Service Leave. An employee has the right to become a candidate for public office and to serve in such elective office unless there is a specific legal prohibition. Upon application, leave of absence without pay in order to run for or serve in public office shall be granted. Employees shall have the option to continue term life insurance coverage under the Board group plan by reimbursing the Board in full for the annual premium.
Public Service Leave. Leave with pay will be granted for jury duty, and non-employee related court subpoenas. Military responsibilities for short term training for those with military reserve status will be recognized. Military leave in excess of two (2) weeks will require the employee to apply for and the District to grant a leave of absence and the employee will have full rights to the position which was vacated.
