Qualifying for Holiday Pay. In order to qualify for holiday pay, employees must have worked on the scheduled work day prior to the holiday and the scheduled work day immediately after the holiday, unless such absence occurs during paid leave of absence for any reason, or on approved leave of absence for union business for a period of fifteen (15) consecutive days or less. (a) An employee who is scheduled off on a holiday shall receive seven and one-half (7.5) hours pay (holiday pay) as per Article 17.01(a). (b) When a holiday falls on an employee's scheduled day off, the employee shall have his day off re- scheduled, seven and one-half (7.5) hours.
