Relief Time and Overtime. Employees working overtime will be entitled to an additional fifteen (15) minute break for every two (2) hours worked which are consecutive to the employee’s work day. Overtime which is not consecutive to the normal work day shall entitle the employees to an additional fifteen (15) minute break for each four (4) hours of overtime worked. This paragraph shall not apply to bus drivers.

Relief Time and Overtime. Bargaining unit members working overtime will be entitled to an additional fifteen (15) minute break for every two (2) hours worked which are consecutive to the ESP’s regular workday. Overtime which is not consecutive to the normal workday shall entitle ESP to an additional fifteen (15) minute break for each four (4) hours’ overtime.

  • HOURS AND OVERTIME 3:1 A workweek is defined as seven (7) consecutive calendar days, from Saturday midnight to Saturday midnight. The basic workweek shall consist of five (5) workdays of eight (8) hours each and shall begin Monday and run through Friday, except when a job other than for a public utility is to be done on Saturday, then the Company may assign another day as a non-workday and Saturdays becomes a workday in the basic workweek. An extended workweek shall begin at starting time Monday and continue until the next Monday starting time. The regular hours of work for all employees shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with an unpaid meal period of thirty (30) minutes which normally will be from 12:00 noon to 12:30 p.m. provided, however, that the regular lunch period may be advance or delayed an hour or less when work must necessarily be performed during the regular lunch period. Such a change in the lunch period shall not be deemed to require the payment of overtime. The regular hours of work may be changed by the Company at the request or direction of the public utility or governmental authorities, and by mutual agreement between the Company and the Union. The Company may change the start times by 30 minutes in either direction of the regular start time to meet the operational need without union approval. Such a change in the regular hours of work shall not be deemed to require the payment of overtime. 3:2 Employees shall report to work at pre-determined assembly points and shall return thereto at the conclusion of the day’s work; and the time spent in traveling between such assembly points and the job site shall be considered as time worked.

  • WORKING HOURS AND OVERTIME a. During the term of this agreement, the normal Fire Duty Cycle for Firefighter/Engineer and Captain shall consist of two twenty four (24) hour shifts followed by ninety-six (96) hours off duty. Shifts shall not exceed forty-eight (48) hours duration, commencing at 7 o’clock a.m. Regular overtime is time worked by a Firefighter/Engineer or Captain, beyond forty-eight (48) hours in the standard fire duty cycle. For purposes of computing regular overtime, vacation, sick and compensatory time shall be considered time worked. b. Overtime for Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) purposes is time worked by a Firefighter/Engineer or Captain beyond one hundred eighty-two (182) hours in a twenty-four (24) day work period (as that term is used by the wage and hour division of the Department of Labor) and is the time frame in which hours worked will be counted for the purpose of computing overtime under FLSA regulations. c. All overtime work authorized by the Chief or his/her designee shall be paid at time and one-half. Employees shall have the option to accumulate Compensatory Time Off (CTO) in lieu of pay for overtime worked. CTO may be accumulated at a rate of 1.5 to 1.0 up to a total of 240 hours maximum, and may be taken at a time mutually convenient to the employee and employer and subject to the vacation schedule. Total accumulated hours by employee will be calculated on July 1 of each year. Employees who have accumulated more than 240 hours as of July 1 will be notified by the employer of that fact, and allowed to schedule time off to bring the hours accumulation to below 240 hours. CTO in excess of one (1) hour shall be calculated in 1/2 hour increments. No employee shall be allowed to carry more than 240 comp time hours on the books. d. All overtime worked, up to a maximum of eight (8) hours, shall be computed at a minimum of one-hour overtime computed on a 40 hour work week rate. For time worked between 8 and 12 hours, the employee shall be paid eight (8) hours at the 40 hour work week rate. Any overtime in excess of 12 hours is paid based on a 56 hour work week rate. e. Employees may exchange shifts in accordance with the shift trade policy appended hereto as Exhibit "B”. f. The Chief may assign, at his or her discretion, for a period not exceeding thirty

  • HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME ‌ A. Employees hours of work will be determined by their classification and assignment. Employees in the Custodian and Mechanic classification will receive a thirty (30) minute paid lunch period to be scheduled with Principal’s permission. B. All work performed by bargaining unit members over forty (40) hours in any one week shall be considered as overtime and paid at the overtime rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times the bargaining unit members hourly rate of pay for the position the bargaining unit member was working when the overtime occurred in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. The Employer shall solely be responsible for deciding when to work overtime or when overtime is needed. C. Bargaining unit members will be offered overtime in their classification only. Effective October 5, 2013 overtime will be rotated, in the classification the work occurs, starting with the most Senior Bargaining Unit Member in that classification and down through the list until the work is completed. This Section does not apply to Bus Drivers. D. Bargaining unit members will be paid for all time lost when the schools in which they work are closed owing to an epidemic or other public calamity. Nothing in this article shall be construed as requiring payment in excess of a bargaining unit member regular wage rate for any time worked while the school in which the bargaining unit member is employed is officially closed for reasons set forth in this paragraph. 1. On days the Superintendent or Board declares a calamity, bargaining unit members in the custodian classification will be required to check their assigned building performing tasks such as snow removal, cleaning sidewalks, securing the building, checking the heating and cooling systems. 2. Bargaining unit members who cannot report on calamity days to fulfill their tasks in D-1 above may use personal leave with the Superintendent’s approval. E. Bargaining unit members called out to work will be paid a minimum of two (2) hours pay or the hours they actually worked if greater. F. Employees directed to use their own personal vehicle in the course of their assigned duties will be reimbursed mileage at the IRS rate to be paid on a quarterly basis. G. Custodians will not be required to use their private vehicles to carry school equipment from one school location to another. H. The parties intend to memorialize the current practice regarding bus drivers driving extra routes instead of a substitute driver. In the event a bus driver drives one extra route a day (am or pm), the bus driver shall receive an additional $25 for the extra route. In the event the bus driver drives two extra routes (am and pm), the bus driver shall receive an additional $50 for the two extra routes in the same day. If the substitute driver rate increases, the parties agree to re-open Article 27, Paragraph H only, regarding compensation for driving the additional route. I. In the event a custodian completes a scheduled eight (8) hour shift and works an additional regularly scheduled 8-hour shift after having already worked their 8-hour shift, the custodian shall receive an additional fifty dollars ($50) for working the additional, complete 8-hour regularly scheduled shift. Custodians will be expected to work the full 8 hours. However, if the employee is directed to leave by the Principal prior to working a full 8 hours, the employee shall receive the $50 supplement.

  • Minimum Break between Shifts (a) Where it is necessary to work extended overtime, it is agreed that no Employee shall resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty between the termination of the overtime and the commencement of the Employee’s ordinary work on the next day or shift. (b) In the event that an Employee agrees to a request from site management to resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty, the Employee shall be paid at double ordinary time rates until the Employee is released from duty for such period.
