Renewal of fixed term positions. 19.5.1 The University will provide a fixed term staff member notice of its intention to renew or not to renew their employment at least 4 weeks prior to their employment end date. 19.5.2 Where the University has made a decision to continue the position occupied by a current fixed term staff member the staff member will ordinarily be offered further employment in that position on a fixed term basis, subject to the following: 19.5.2.1 the staff member has demonstrated the capacity to meet the future expectations of the position, including any new duties or competencies that may be required; and 19.5.2.2 has demonstrated satisfactory performance and conduct in the fixed term position; and 19.5.2.3 the staff member was appointed following a competitive, merit-based selection process for the same or substantially similar position. 19.5.3 Fixed term employment may only be terminated on the initiative of the University as follows: 19.5.3.1 during the probationary period (in accordance with clause 25); 19.5.3.2 for unsatisfactory performance (in accordance with clause 41); 19.5.3.3 for serious misconduct (in accordance with clause 42); or 19.5.3.4 under clause 39 (Redundancy, Redeployment and Severance) where the funding for the fixed term position is from a source other than funding that is part of the Commonwealth Grants Scheme, Higher Education Contribution Scheme or student fees and that funding is withdrawn or otherwise not continued. 19.5.4 Nothing in this clause shall however prevent the University offering a fixed term staff member, and the staff member accepting, a voluntary separation under clause 39 of this Agreement. 19.5.5 A fixed term staff member may not refuse any reasonable offer of redeployment to an academic role at his/her existing level and within his/her area of competency. 19.5.6 Where a staff member is employed on 2 or more fixed term contracts continuity of service for the purpose of leave eligibility under this Agreement including long service leave will not be deemed to have been broken provided there is no more than 2 months between those contracts. The period between the 2 fixed term contracts however shall not be counted as service.

  • Renewal of Term Subject to Pxxxxxx's Board of Directors' approval, Executive's employment shall be extended for one additional year at the end of each year of the term, or extended term, of this Agreement on the same terms and conditions as contained in this Agreement, unless either AMERX, Procyon or the Executive shall, prior to the expiration of the initial term or of any renewal term, give written notice of the intention not to renew this Agreement.

Finally, housing agreements shall not be re-offered to residents who have outstanding charges from UCF DHRL.

TIPS may or may not exercise the one-year extension beyond the base three-year term and whether or not to offer the extension is at the sole discretion of TIPS. The scheduled Agreement termination date shall be the last date of the month of the last month of the agreement’s legal effect. Example: If the agreement is scheduled to end on May 23, the anniversary date of the award, it would actually be extended to May 31 in the last month of the last year the contract is active. No Agreement for goods or services with a TIPS Member by the awarded vendor named in this Agreement that results from the solicitation award named in this Agreement, may incorporate an automatic renewal clause that exceeds month to month terms with which the TIPS Member must comply. All renewal terms incorporated in an Agreement by the vendor with the TIPS Member shall only be valid and enforceable when the vendor receives written confirmation by purchase order, executed Agreement or other written instruction issued by the TIPS Member for any renewal period. The purpose of this clause is to avoid a TIPS Member inadvertently renewing an Agreement during a period in which the governing body of the TIPS Member has not properly appropriated and budgeted the funds to satisfy the Agreement renewal. This term is not negotiable and any Agreement between a TIPS Member and a TIPS awarded vendor with an automatic renewal clause that conflicts with these terms is rendered void and unenforceable.

  • Geographic Area and Sector Specific Allowances, Conditions and Exceptions The following allowances and conditions shall apply where relevant. Where the Employer does work which falls under the following headings, the Employer agrees to pay and observe the relevant respective conditions and/or exceptions set out below in each case.

  • Renewal of Residency If this Housing Agreement is a renewal of Resident’s residency at the Property to follow the expiration of another valid agreement with an End Date that is no more than one day earlier than the Start Date of this Housing Agreement, then: (a) the Start Date of this Housing Agreement will be deemed to take place simultaneously with the expiration of the prior agreement, so that this Housing Agreement begins immediately upon the expiration of the term of the prior agreement; and (b) if Resident is assigned by Owner to a different apartment or bedroom for the new term under this Housing Agreement, Resident agrees to relocate promptly to the newly assigned space and to relinquish occupancy of the prior space on the date specified by Owner.

  • Initial Term and Renewal This Agreement shall become effective upon its execution and, shall have an initial term of five (5) years. Following the expiration of the initial term, the Agreement shall automatically renew for successive one-year terms until such time that the Agreement is terminated by either Party upon giving the other Party six (6) months’ written notice of termination.
