Required Teaching Workload. 1. The normal teaching workload for a full-time faculty member shall be eighteen (18) teaching credit hours during the academic year. Independent study and advising of graduate theses shall not carry any teaching credit hours except as specified in Section 3. below. The teaching workload for full-time Lecturers shall be twenty-four (24) teaching credit hours. Non-tenure-track faculty are not required to engage in research or scholarship.

  • Flexible Hours of Work 19.1 Flexible hours of work, or flextime, is a system designed to provide for the individual preferences and work habits of employees while at the same time ensuring the efficient operation of the Employer's service.

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. The following equivalencies will be used in determining teaching assignments:

  • Teaching Loads 1. The District will attempt to maintain balanced class sizes within buildings at all levels.

  • Flexible Work Schedule A flexible work schedule is any schedule that is not a regular, alternate, 9/80, or 4/10 work schedule and where the employee is not scheduled to work more than 40 hours in the "workweek" as defined in Subsections F. and H., below.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.
