Resident Teachers. (a) Notwithstanding the provisions of clauses 7.11.1 and 7.11.2, a resident teacher who is engaged as a full-time teacher in the same school to which the boarding establishment is attached may be required to spend no more than ten (10) hours per week in resident duties as herein defined. These hours of duty shall be in exchange for the resident teacher's board and residence. (b) By mutual agreement between the employee and the school authority the hours of resident duty of resident teachers may be averaged over one term.

Resident Teachers. The Superintendent shall attempt, if requested in writing by the teacher, to assign the child(xxx) of a teacher who resides in the District and who is the residential parent or guardian to the school to which the teacher requested. This includes the building in which he/she teaches. If the teacher is transferred voluntarily or involuntarily to another building, the teacher may request in writing that his/her children be reassigned to the teacher’s building. At the high school level, any enrollment or transfer pursuant to this Article will be subject to any athletic penalties established by OHSAA.
Resident Teachers. Resident Teacher will be paid an annual rate in accordance with Minnesota Statute. A Resident Teacher will be paid for the same holidays, release days, and sick leave days as the regular contract teacher.

Resident Teachers will be paid an annual rate in accordance with MN Statute (See MN Statute §122A.68). Resident Teachers will teach 80% of the instructional time required of a 1.0 FTE teacher in the district and participate in staff development 20% of the time. Resident Teachers shall have the same salary plan options as other teachers.
Resident Teachers. There is a continuing need for the recruitment of able teacher candidates and the improvement of their preparation. Cherry Creek School District and the Association will strive to provide a setting in which Resident Teachers may apply the professional skills, theories, techniques and philosophies which have been developed through course-work and experiences. It is also recognized that Resident/Intern Teachers assume this position for the purpose of expanding and improving their expertise under the guidance of an experienced classroom teacher. Keeping this purpose in mind, Resident/Intern Teachers will be employed under the following conditions:

  • Student Teachers A. The term "student teacher" as used hereinafter shall refer to student teachers, intern teachers and all other such programs. Agreement to become a supervising teacher of a student teacher shall be strictly voluntary and is recognized not to result in such bargaining unit members becoming supervisors within the meaning of the Public Employment Relations Act (PERA). Probationary teachers are prohibited from accepting student teachers. B. It is expressly agreed that the Association may refuse to permit a bargaining unit member from supervising or directing the activities of a student teacher in the event: 1. The student teacher would displace instructional aides, para- professionals, or other current employees then employed. 2. The use of such student teacher would be used by the Employer as a basis for not hiring additional bargaining unit personnel. C. The Board shall disclose all terms of any agreement between it and any student placing institution. The terms and conditions of placement of student teachers shall be consistent with this agreement, unless otherwise agreed to by the Association. D. The supervising teacher shall have the right to accept an honorarium or other such token of appreciation as may be offered by the student/intern placing institution. E. Prior to acceptance of a student teacher, there shall be a meeting between the teacher, prospective student teacher, principal, president of the Association or an executive committee member of the Association. Following this interview, the teacher shall then have the right to accept or reject the student teacher. F. Any terms or conditions of this section not previously specified in this agreement shall be negotiated between the Board and the Association prior to implementation of future programs.

  • New Teachers No new teachers shall be hired for a vacancy for which a teacher on unrequested leave is certified.

  • TEACHERS AND RESEARCHERS 1. An individual who is a resident of a Contracting State immediately before making a visit to the other Contracting State, and who, at the invitation of any university, college, school or other similar educational institution, visits that other State for a period not exceeding two years solely for the purpose of teaching or research or both at such educational institution shall be exempt from tax in that other State on any remuneration for such teaching or research. 2. This Article shall not apply to income from research if such research is undertaken primarily for the private benefit of a specific person or persons.

  • Itinerant Teachers Schedules of regularly assigned teachers who are assigned to and travel to more than one school or student home on a given day shall be arranged so that no teacher shall be required without his/her consent to engage in inter-school or inter-home (for home bound teachers) travel of more than thirty-five

  • Traveling Teachers Traveling teachers are those who are not assigned a dedicated classroom of their own due to limited space. If traveling is necessary within a subject area, traveling status should be rotated. In order to facilitate optimum conditions for instruction, traveling teachers should, to the greatest extent practicable, be provided the following: 1. A quiet, secure space that contains a desk and filing space; 2. Storage space within the classrooms used for instruction; 3. A designated bulletin board and/or chalk or white board in the classrooms used for instruction; 4. An appropriate cart to transfer materials; 5. Supplies needed for instruction to the same extent as other teachers and those unique to traveling teachers.
