Rest Periods and Meal Breaks. ‌ (a) All employees will have two 15 minute rest periods in each work period in excess of six hours, one rest period to be granted before and one after the meal period, provided the staff to child ratio can be maintained. It is understood that meal breaks and rest periods may be combined subject to operational requirements. The meal period will be a one half hour unpaid meal break. (b) Employees working a shift of four hours, but not more than six hours, will receive one rest period during such a shift provided the staff to child ratio can be maintained.
