Work Site Closure. Where the Employer closes a work site or discontinues a program, the Employer will consult with the Union. Following consultation, where the Employer offers positions to all or part of the staff affected, the following shall apply:

Work Site Closure. If the County Administrator or designee closes a work site because it is unsafe or because work operations cannot be carried out, employees who are scheduled to work and who are not reassigned to alternate work sites and are subsequently sent home shall receive administrative pay for the remainder of the scheduled work day. Other regularly scheduled employees who are sent home may be paid, at the discretion of the department head, for the balance of their scheduled work day. Such employees sent home shall remain available to return to the work site for the duration of the time on which they are being paid administrative leave. The County will make all reasonable efforts to relocate or reassign employees affected by such situations and may continue affected employees on paid leave for the duration of the closure. Employees will not be assigned to work in job functions for which they are not qualified. All attempts shall be made by the County Administrator or designee to locate another work site/facility as quickly as possible.
Work Site Closure. A bargaining unit member who is excused from work due to work site closure on a regular scheduled workday shall be paid the regular rate of pay for that day. Bargaining unit member with previously approved scheduled leave will use applicable leave during that time.

Other regularly scheduled employees who are sent home may be paid, at the discretion of the MHCSD General Manager, for the balance of their scheduled workday. Employees who are sent home and who are receiving administrative pay shall remain available to return to the work site for the duration of their scheduled shift.

Work Site Closure. Should an employee's work site close due to inclement weather or an Act of God, or should an employee be unable to travel to his/her work site due to same, the District shall provide work for the employee at an available alternate work site up to the employee's regular hours, excluding overtime. The employee shall bear responsibility for notification and request for alternate work in all such cases. Further, on any school day during which pupils would otherwise have been in attendance but are not and for which certificated personnel receive regular pay, classified employees shall also receive regular pay. Employees are required to report for duty that day unless otherwise directed.

  • PLANT CLOSURE 29.01 In the event the Company closes the plant at the Cambridge location as a result of the loss of business or a discontinuation of all operations, severance pay will be calculated at one (1) week’s regular pay per year of service.
