Retirement or Separation from Service. Eligibility for contributions at retirement or separation from service is limited to employees who retire or separate from service with sick leave cash out rights during the term hereof. Excess sick leave shall be defined as the sick leave days accruing to the credit of such employee during the term of this agreement.

Retirement or Separation from Service. A. Accumulated Unused Sick Days: Upon the Superintendent's retirement, the Board will pay all unused, accumulated sick days earned while an employee of the Board, in accordance with law. Payment shall be calculated at the rate of 1/260th of the Superintendent's annual base salary at the time of retirement. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:30-3:5, payment shall not exceed $15,000.00.
